So it’s bungies fault that you didn’t empty your mailbox or keep proper clean inventories?

No no. You are all mistaken. It didn't sit in there very long. Like i said my gripe is that it doesnt WARN you when its supposed to. At least it didn't warn me!
-
For an item to loop completely thru your mailbox it would have to have 20 items push in behind it. Meaning you basically just let it overflow…
-
While you're in an activity, items you don't pick up just sit there on the ground until you head to orbit, at which point they are sent to your postmaster. This is why you only get the warning then, since before that point those items were not in your postmaster. Unfortunately, if there were more items left behind in an activity than you had space in your postmaster, then some things will be lost before you see a warning.
-
Did you already have items in your mailbox? Also you didn’t have enough space in your own inventory? Items don’t drop that much that you need all 9 slots full

I do carry a lot of items. Yes you are right about my storage management, but the point im trying to make is that i wasnt warned at all whilst my items were being deleted. The postmaster was not previously full.

Bungie warnings do notify you when it’s near full yes. But if it immediately fills from items gone to postmaster from an end chest it won’t. Future reference just if you saw an item you want use the app to retrieve it or go to the tower. Easy as that

Yea sure, but my idea is still a good one. It would prevent this from ever happening again.

People have been asking for it since 2017. Won’t happen. Bungies system is easier to program as first in first out.
my idea is still a good one. It would prevent this from ever happening again.
Another good idea is to simply manage your inventory better and avoid this exact scenario in the future.
