[i]Knightlight moves into the main streets. He looks up at a nearby TV and sees Thorne's face on the screen. The female announcer speaks. [/i] Female Announcer: A raid on a local bar resulted in the capture of "Adam E. Thorne". Kingpin of the largest mob in the city. During the raid Guardians were called in to provide backup. During the operation, 10 frames were destroyed, 1 ghost was killed and 12 of Thorne's men were killed or captured. [i]Footage of Thorne being carried away in handcuffs is shown. Thorne is speaking to the camera. [/i] Thorne to the Camera: I'm coming for you Zavala! Those men weren't cheap. After I bribe the DA and the Judge, you're mine! I'm the commander down here! Not you. [i]Both of the Frames raise their sidearms. [/i] Frame 1: You are under arrest! You're accused of conspiring with Thorne. Hands up! [i]Knightlight raises his hands. Frame 2 moves in with handcuffs. As the frame places its hand on Knightlights arm, he pushes the frame into the other and makes a run for it. A chase ensues. Knightlight tries to hide in a alleyway but the frames spot and corner him. [/i] Frame 1: Get down on the ground! Frame 2: No. He's to risky to capture. We must exterminate him. Frame 1: Understood. Any last words hostile? Knightlight: Behind you. Frame 1: Wha---- [i]Frame 1 is stabbed from behind, killing it instantly. Frame two readies its weapon but has the weapon kicked out of its hand. Frame 2 is then stabbed. Knightlight looks to see who did that, it's the dark hooded man. [/i] Knightlight: Why did to help me? Who are you? Hooded Man: Your fate was not to die in this alley. You are to play a key role when the time comes. As for identity, those questions will be answered soon. But I'm not your friend nor enemy, but rather a messenger. Knightlight: Well thanks?! No bloodshed. I best get going now. [i]The Hooded man has a grim smile across his face. He goes back to the main street and dissappears into the crowd. [/i] Knightlight to Himself: That was odd. I guess the darkness or who ever that was saved me today. Well time to head back to Eramis! [i]Knightlight heads back to the tower. Zavala gives him a odd look. [/i] Zavala: Hello Guardian. You had no business being down there. Where's your ghost? Knightlight: Left it to guard something. And judging by the bag of glimmer, you could say I conducted some "business" down there. I'm off to the cosmodrome. Zavala: Then you must be joining the strike operation. A warlock named Aldway went dark outside the cosmodrome wall. You wouldn't know what happened to him? Knightlight: Uh, of course not. I best get going. Knightlight to himself: Crap, if they find Eramis she's dead meat. Best get to her before they do.
