At this point in time since being restricted I have been monitoring the connections forum as closely as possible. General consensus - Long term players who have extremley viable connections (Some are live streamers too) have been informed their internet is not adequate for a number of reasons. I have never seen a restriction wave cause alot of issues with players until coiindientally I recieved one too. At this point I believe Bungie need to reconsider their appeal process as I believe many innocent players are at jeopardy of missing out wrongly on the game they love. I have since moved my router to an open NAT to ensure all my connections are as smooth as possible in pvp but I am anxious and scared I will face the 2 month penalty regardless of how well I've attempted to fix my supposed problem connection.

  • Bungie claim that you have nothing to fear if you just enjoy the game and that bans are reviewed before being applied. Clearly, the restrictions are an automated system, as it is obvious that long term players with good connections are all receiving these errors. This points to a problem caused by Bungie's poor programming and peer to peer model, and/or a problem with Sony's new PS5 console. High speed, wired Ethernet connections are affected, yet no other services are down. Only Destiny complains about poor connections. If Bungie bothered to look at the trends, they would have seen a spike in connection issues and restrictions since the launch of this season and the new PS5 - it is in no way the fault of the player and therefore not justified to restrict players. In space no one can hear you scream. We are all screaming at Bungie.

  • But Bungie isn't listening to you. Only the restriction comes to you and that's it. If you like it well, if not you can put up with it the same. You fill out a form explaining what is happening and they do not respond. They don't even have the kindness to inform you because they keep the decision. But instead you have to applaud that they have quarters doing the same and repeating material from other seasons. May they have failures every week and may we be the ones to blame. I have been playing since 2015, always with the same connection and it is since November 2020 that they are blocking my access due to failures and the worst thing is that the brief message you read, for a fraction of seconds, is because my connection affects the gaming experience. I mean, my connection overshadows each and every Bungie and Destiny flaw. Who can believe that?
