Armour Sunsetting Pain-point

To start off, I don’t want this comment section to delve into sunset good vs sunset bad. Just an observation I have about a current/future issue with sunsetting. TL;DR at the bottom. My main issue is that it doesn’t feel good getting a well rolled armour drop that is going to be sunset within 3 months. I don’t know why every armour drop in the game during Season of the hunt, doesn’t drop with Hunt (or at the very least, Arrivals) level infusion cap. Weapons are similar, however, the main point of sunsetting is have guns switch in and switch out routinely. While the loot pool certainly is shallow right now, to me, the weapon drops being soon sunset isn’t as big of an issue. Although I do think it should also be changed. Legendary armour from 3 seasons ago behaves no differently than armour obtained today. I know people are upset that armour sunsets at all, but at the very least all armour drops should have updated infusion caps to last a year. While I know the new content like the raid will drop very high level armour with a year long life, RNG dictates whether it’s worth masterworking or not. But, when I get a well rolled armour piece through another activity and want to masterwork it, I don’t see a point when it’s a 9 month old piece of armour that will essentially be useless outside of quickplay/comp. TL;DR All current armour drops should be updated to have current season infusion caps. Or 1 season prior at the least. (i.e. last ~1 year until they are sunset)
