Some Titans and Warlocks are already calling for nerfs to the teleport exotic. Thankfully there are other Warlocks and Titans who are willing to give it a chance.
Hopefully it releases in a balanced state so that is doesn’t need to get nerfed.

If only it look like Astrocyte. The helmet looks like is made of skin and it probably smells terrible.

Eh. Turnabout is fair play. I've seen far more people calling for a nerf on the titan exotic. Which is even dumber because based on the trailer its only a 4 second overshield or it has like 5 hp. When the titan punched it was already gone. My hope for the titan exotic is 20-25 HP and 7 seconds for the duration with a healthy length in the animation. Any longer on the overshield and no thought will have to be put into when and why you activate. Plus historically speaking OP exotics are all that really keep titans relevant. Hunters are fine without OP exotics. Lastly unless they add a +20 resilience mod; getting to 100 mobility is significantly easier and it actually adds more to your nuetral game vs 100 resilience.

The only reason I’m gonna call this exotic op is because it seems like u already have ur weapon out when ur blink finishes so hunters basically have blink shotgun now. But that’s the only reason.

I dunno the Hunter teleport but took a few steps before he attacked so we don’t know if they can immediately attack or not. Hopefully it’s not too the handling debuff isn’t too long or short. I really want this exotic to be good but balanced.

I mean when I looked at the trailer again the hunter already had his sword in his hands when he got out of the shift. He took a few steps to take that swing. When ur blinking with a sword there is an animation where the sword is not ready out of blinking. That’s my take on it tho. Other than that I don’t see any other reason why this would be incredible broken.

What’s so wrong with Hunters getting Blink to substitute for their dodge??

One thing I think that will play a part in whether its OP or not is whether it can get the same effects as dodge. What I mean is if I am using top tree nightstalker with invis dodge, will this teleport also make me go invis.

That’s what I’ve been saying too. If does benefit from from certain dodge related perks (mainly vanishing step) it’s not gonna be an issue. Although I will admit that it would be nice if I could still get that reload, but that’s just wishful thinking.

Warlock blink works a bit differently

Blink leaves a trail and that acts as part of your hitbox sometimes. Blink is a jump. Shift is a evade. We don’t know if shift will have the same handling debuff and lose radar like blink does.

I’m betting the range of the teleport won’t be very far or there will be a lengthy static cooldown

You’re speculating as well. That’s all this is: speculation. It’s not hard to believe that the exotic is completely replacing dodge with a different ability that won’t work the same way.
