How do you buy this damn game?
I'm from Destiny 1
Hey how's it goin'
So when they switched the format I got a bad taste in my mouth, and just never quite understood
How the -blam!- do you buy Destiny now?
What are these seasons?
Can I just buy the game like I used to?
I just want to buy the god damn game, Bungie

Destiny 2 is Free to Play. You can purchase it for free from any platform you play on. Some countries don't allow games rated anything other than for everyone to be Free to Play so may require a charge of a few cents, so almost Free to Play but not quite. The Seasons are content packages that change out every few months. Seasons have both free content as well as premium content available. Free content is available to everyone; premium content is available to people who purchase a Season Pass for that season. A Season Pass is to access seasonal premium content and is not required to play the game at all; it's entirely optional, just like DLC, but any unearned rewards from that content become unavailable at the end of the Season (though Bungie is going to allow Exotics to be available later on).

If you want to "own" "everything", you download the free-to-start portion for Zero(play Drakengard 3) doll hairs. Then, if you want to "own" the rest of the DLC, you need to spend IRL moolah on the Forsaken and Shadowkeep DLC. A purchase of Shadowkeep includes a single Season Pass at no additional charge(the current season being Dawn). After All That(anyone remeber that show?), you need to buy Silver to then buy the next Season Pass as it becomes available for 1000 Silver(or ten US doll hairs). Edit - I've found that it's just much more easy to play other games. [spoiler]As much as I love the shooting, it has become apparent they aren't going to tell a proper story through gameplay, so I think I'm about done.[/spoiler]
