Start hosting player servers

I cannot speak for anyone on this forum, but I know that one of the most annoying things about playing on NA is having someone in the Oceanic region (China, Japan, Korea, etc.), that has a ping so bad that most of the core game mechanics simply are ignored. For example, concussion grenades do not affect players from the Oceanic region as much, if at all, compared to those in NA or EU. As someone who is based out of NA, it is critical that players are equally affected by all affects, stuns, perks, etc. If your ping is too high, and you KNOW it is too high, you are not only degrading your experience of the game, but also that of everyone else. That said, Bungie should host matches on centralized servers so that not only might the number of hackers/cheaters go down, but the number of network-related incidents may as well. Every player who has experienced it knows that in PvP, being the victim of a DDoS attack is one of the most annoying and "why would you do that?" kind events that you can experience. With proper security, and configuration, I believe that Bungie could be more than capable of deploying something along these lines, as the reporting system does not work most of the time.
