Hello Aya, several minutes ago this morning, i called at my ISP. The ISP could detect a resett of my router at exactly 21:42 hours in Germany. Thats what their logs said. What he couldnt or didnt wanted to tell me was the exact Nature of that shutdown. That i should look into the Logs of my Router which where deleted by that resett. I asked him even if i am at the Callcenter or if i am connected to the Technic/Troubleshoot Service. He answered i called at the right place to get information, but that they "dont have information or Logs" to see what happened exactly. (i couldnt believe my ears hearing him saying it) And furthermore they could not say if that was a malicious attack on the router. He said also that if i would be a Company i could write a letter for that incident or i could go to the Police to file a report there. So i can get the involved IP Adresses to research myself. Thing is we have the "Datenschutz Verordnung / DSGVO" here in Germany:
General Data Protection Regulation GDPR Welcome to gdpr-info.eu. Here you can find the official PDF of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation) in the current version of the OJ L 119, 04.05.2016; cor. OJ L 127, 23.5.2018 as a neatly arranged website. All Articles of the GDPR are linked with suitable recitals. The European Data Protection Regulation is applicable as of May 25th, 2018 in all member states to harmonize data privacy laws across Europe. If you find the page useful, feel free to support us by sharing the project. https://gdpr-info.eu/
This is all i could get from my ISP and therefore i feel i am at a loss what happened really. I cant give more information as i gave allready. Router just stopped working from yet unknown reasons. I would really be pleased if you can make a quite look into this. In your own interest to proof for yourself you can provide a better experience for the upcoming seaon of the worthy and especially the return of the Trial of Osiris. In the end everyone is looking for a fair competition and trusts Bungie with the Peer to Peer Network working better then anytime before. This is the return of the most important PvP activity ever. Thank you AYA for quick response and help how to get more information. But shall i now do file an official report to you with the given Link: https://www.bungie.net/de/Help/Troubleshoot?oid=13967 ??? What do we do now?

  • If your isp detected any type of denial attack, they can pull the traffic logs to the exact address of the attack. As its a crime, they can pursue charges. If they are not willing to take those steps, they either dont believe it was denail of service, or its just not worth their time

  • We can assume anything now just like at first posting. In the end the question is, will there be justice and who is delivering it?

  • I don't know how much it would help to do so, but maybe try taking it to your ISP as well. If you were actually DDOSed, that's illegal. I don't know what can be done about it unfortunately, as the perpetrators most likely used some sort of IP masking. At the very least, it can't hurt to try and have your ISP look into it.

  • Thank you for that Advice. I will check them up first, so i can get some more hard proof if there is something to see at their logs too. Or they will answer me that they did reset my Router.
