What I want most Is a Human/Cabal/Eliksni Alliance. For humanity, being more xenophilic could attract more allies throughout the galaxy, as well as attracting any stronger Fallen Houses on the other side of the galaxy. Plus, we can gift the Eliksni a sort of reservation world so they can rebuild their empire in the company of the traveler's chosen. Additionally, either through Calus or through desperation for survival, the remaining red legion troops in the system could and should end the conflict, which is getting pointless now, and either join us against the doom doritos or they will die, in a backwater system surrounded by dead allies. If you are going to be consumed by an immortal darkness, why not be in good company, am I right?

  • I'm interested in more of what Calus knows. He's mentioned that there are other powers beyond out "feeble light." I would like for the Cabal to join us because they're just comprised of the Fleet soldiers, Psions and Warhounds we've been fighting. They have other races they've taken over and while I doubt they are super strong. It would be nice to see a different npc archetype. The cabal fear the darkness, and the Pyramids are a good example of what they fear. It's time Bungie starts acting upon it's lore for the game because it's not being delivered. And yes, give the Fallen a place to call home.

  • <The power above Light is the same power he saw, and consequently the same power he practically worships as it is unstoppable and will inevitably annihilate the universe. Darkness.>

  • The Darkness is so vauge of a term though. The Hive were concidered the first of the Darkness/origin during TTK. But the enemy factions are also considered the Darkness. Now the Pyramids are the Darkness. I wish they would just solidify what the Darkness is. Unless Bungie goes for a tragedy route, I can't really imagine the darkness winning. Our Guardian has too much plot armor for the story to end on a bad note. But it would make for an interesting "what if."

  • <The enemy factions as "the Darkness" stopped being a thing when the original Destiny story died in 2013. However, remnants existed in the game's text, and so a lot of references were made to that. The Hive were never considered the Darkness, but minions of, even the Books of Sorrow mentioned that the Deep and the Hive were very much separate entities. The Pyramid Armada was introduced in D2, they are the first we've seen of the blanket-term Darkness, and they'll lead us right to the true Darkness.>

  • I do not think it was the darkness. Not to go all "kingdom hearts" or whatever but I think what he saw was the "Nothing". Not darkness or light, but when you destroy dark and light(the Traveler and the Pyramids). The nothingness(I think) is the origin of the Vex. The Vex do not literally worship the darkness like the Hive, I believe that the Vex like the darkness because they need it to destroy the light. And once that is complete they will turn to exterminate the Hive, Taken, Nightmares, and Pyramids(darkness).

  • I know, and I understand that the idea now is the pyramid ships, and I dont think that is what he saw. I think he saw the leading powerful Vex. However if it truly was the Pyramids/darkness, then why not kill him? He is aiding us and that would not help the darkness, nor him if he actually truly worshiped the darkness.

  • <Have you seen the Darkness's view to us, or even Calus's? Calus finds the Deep impenetrable, unbeatable. We'd literally have to beat a Pyramid for him to even think about reconsidering his stance, and we're having issues dealing with a derelict one that hasn't moved. The Darkness looks at us and smiles gleefully, as if we're nothing. The Vex do not have the power to erase Light and Dark thoroughly enough to be considered above it.>

How do you know that about the Vex? We know very little about the darkness and even less over the pyramids. Literally just giving my opinions and views over the lore. Whilst I understand the darkness does not see us as a threat, it’s been years. They should’ve won by now if we aren’t a threat. They should’ve one with Oryx alone. But they didn’t. The Vex and the Hive are separate and there is no logical reason for the darkness to be splitting its efforts if they have two of the largest armies ever. Therefor the Vex must belong to something and so far it’s not looking like they worship the light. Calus warns us about how we think we are strong but the Vex we have met are “managers”(?) I believe is how he phrases it. So therefor the Vex are far stronger than we know and Calus defends himself against the Vex. I can’t think of a time when he goes on the offense against them. (I could be wrong on that though). I think Calus seems to be leaning more of being our ally but there is no reason for him to, unless he’s pulled a Drifter and is just kinda livin. That all being said, I see you on the lore pages often, so if I’m misreading something and you got the lore pages you could add that would be super useful my man.

  • <Calus says the Vex we fight are just construction bots, yes. But here's the fun part, even when the Vex invaded Oryx's Throne World and sent in Warrior units, the Taken beat them back. Vex are weak to Light and Dark type enemies, and until the Nightmares happened, they were the closest to the Darkness we'd seen in-game. Actually, the Vex would've won against the Hive eventually if Oryx didn't come back home. That's their strength, but unless they pull something out of their ass, they can't beat the Deep. The only reason they could beat the Light is overwhelming us by sheer numbers and then shoot at the Traveler and pray it doesn't nuke them, a risk they won't take unless circumstances change. Honestly I'm starting to think the Darkness considers all Hive except Oryx to be weak. It gave Oryx some support over the eons but it gave the rest of the Hive nothing except indirect powers through the Worms, the middlemen (and perpetrators) of the deal. Hell, the Darkness mentions the Vex as a SPECIES at the same level as Oryx (again, the only mention-able Hive, not even the Worms got one) and humanity, which is -blam!-ing hilarious IMO.>

  • So do you think the worm gods were made from the Darkness or just have they always been? And does that mean we should not be taking Savathun as a threat? And I remember the Vex invading the Throne Room but I dont recall them saying it was the Warrior Vex? and lastly, do you think(if the darkness only viewed Oryx as competent) that when the darkness comes they will go against the Hive? And would that mean that the Takens loyalty would be split between hive or the Darkness?

<Savathûn can outsmart us, that's why she's a threat. Physically she ain't much. The Worms existed in the Garden before universes, I don't know what they are but they take what they can get and clearly the worship of the Deep has a part of that. I think the Hive's recent and imminent failures (plot) mean that the Darkness might actually exterminate them or at least attempt to. They signed themselves up for death anyway. Even if they killed everything they'd starve immediately after. The Pyramids, while we don't know, were at least able to stave off eons of near-dormancy.>
