Agreed, these yearly events are so stale now.
I remember when Eververse was supposed to fund content like this (that’s what bungie actually said) now it’s just a cash cow to milk new players with repeat content rammed with microtransactions.

You know...I'm gonna drop this right here, and use your post for context. It's like a multi millionaire ( Bungie ) wanting to bring a sports ( Eververse ) team to your city, and expecting the tax payers to pay for it ( free live events funded by Eververse ). Even if the majority of the tax payers dislike sports ( Eververse ) in general....the only way to bring an economic increase to the city....is to pay for it ( buy this ornament and we can keep giving you Crimson Days ). And then after a few years of charging you for VIP seats, they decide to give away those seats for free. Then they tell you it'll bring in more fans, and increase revenue, so that they can keep the team in your city. Because that's what we want...to pay for a sports team we didn't want and then give away seats that we paid for. People would [b]feel[/b] they just got scammed by a con man. Rightfully so. Now the billionaire is telling you how hard it is to do what he do, and the people who got the free seats, are saying we should be grateful that this billionaire is giving us free stuff. It's all... extremely entertaining. So in the end....I'm paying $10 here n there for a the nose bleed section. That is where I can see all the bullshit for what it is.

I can honestly say that almost every game that has come out in the last 3 years has been dogshit except for Nintendo stuff. The entire thing with giving us challenges and shit to unlock is getting SOOO stale. They need to stop worrying about parlor tricks to keep us playing while we are -blam!-ing sick of the game because of it- and make an actual good game. Imagine a fun game that doesnt use battle passes and -blam!- challenges to keep you playing every day.
