The two things that make this quest so bad are the last step being power ammo based and that you don’t know it’s going to be rocket launchers until you get to that step. If we were presented with a quest that had all of the weapon kills, ability kills, captures, etc listed in one place then we could work towards it whilst playing. The quest structure forces players to use a specific weapon at each step, but we would have more fun if we could switch up our load-outs for specific maps, rather than specific quest steps. I wish I had checked the steps in a guide before starting this Iron Banner, I would have had a rocket launcher equipped at all times, just in case I got some power ammo. Speaking of power ammo, the last few days of Iron Banner turned into a fight for the drop. People stopped playing Iron Banner the way it was designed to be played, most teams rarely bothered with captures and just camped on the power ammo. The bigger game is in a really good place now, but this has been the worst Iron Banner so far, all because of the quest structure, some specific quest steps and being locked out of using the tokens until the quest is complete. I would much rather have 5 bounties for each armour piece (is pinnacle power, good stats and masterworked too much to ask for a slog like this?), which can then be random drops in the Iron Banner loot pool once unlocked. Each step could be a combo that makes some kinda logical sense - shotgun and melee kills for the gauntlets, rifles and captures for the legs, power weapon and super kills for the class specific, grenades, sniper and scout kills for the head, medals and bows for the chest. It just needs a bit more thought putting into the quest/bounties and it could be good and fun again.

I absolutely hated this season's quest. RL kills took me forever to get because of all the camping that was going on. Worst thing is that just to turn tokens in it had to be done. I will not doing this on my alts. I can learn to live without the IB armor for them.

I am equally as frustrated. Can bungie please find someone who can say maybe a step for rocket kills isn't the best idea for the IB quest. All you are doing is pissing off destiny fans.

DEAR NO COMMON SENSE BUNGIE I HAVE ALWAYS SUPPORTED THIS GAME BUT A TWO DAY GRIND BECAUSE OF THE WAY YOU HANDLED IRON BANNER HAS MADE ME HATE THE GAME WITH A PASSION I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET THE OTHER SETS I REFUSE TO. I WANT MY SETS OF ARMOR TO THE ONLY THING YOU HAVE DONE RIGHT IS HAVING NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT TO AvOID THE BACKALASH. I WANT COMPENSATION OR A REFUND.

Yes! Totally! I love them game, but in all honesty I am ABYSMAL at the PvP aspect. It takes me DAYS of nothing but Iron Banner to earn the privilege to [b]spend[/b] the currency I've [b]earned[/b]? That's pretty ridiculous...

Stopped trying after everyone realized you can just snipe the people waiting on heavy Bungie doesn't know how to implement quest systems

Literally the Rocket Launchers kills makes the whole insanely unenjoyable, making but teams play for heavy not points or kills. I had one game where for 2 minutes no one captured a point, and with no guaranteed way to get heavy it's a annoying frustrating gamble. Its things like this that make me quit this game for periods. And three bounties were secondary pinnacle... waste

I get that Bungie is trying to get people out of their comfort zone to try other weapons but forcing them to do the quest in order to get rewards for the tokens is just killing your own game. I'm often playing on my own due to lack of time (which is all ready frustrating with the seasons and I'm a single dad with a todler). I never liked playing heavy and certainly not rocket launchers. But with this quest 50%of the people are playing like headless chickens struggling with handcannons and shotguns and they are not even playing the objective anymore. IB used to be fun be as did Destiny as a whole. The seasons however are a killjoy all together cause die to circumstances i even couldn't see the finished portal from Ikora and Saint was all ready in the tower before i even could play any related mission. Makes me regret having bought the season pass

Fully agree. Been struggling with almost all the steps. This one just stopped me dead. I was having fun with IB, despite the other quest steps. Now, I have an IB engram sitting there that I can't collect. 2 DAYS OF TRYING, NOT ONE ROCKET KILL! I finally found a pvp mode I can play, and I'm locked out of rewards not due to skill, but due to bungie not thinking harder on setting quest objectives that make sense, that anyone, even a solo player like me with no friends, can get done EVENTUALLY. But 2 days and ZERO progress, after getting the other steps done in one day! Bungie, you messed up. Please do not do this again, though I'm sure you will...

Haven’t gotten past any of these quests since they implemented them. Unless you’re a collector, the armor is worthless and already got all the truage gear when iron banner was still kinda fun with no bullshit quests.

I hate the ROCKET LAUNCHER STEP, i hate it so much. This is the first time hate so much a quest. I feel like an idiot camping the stupid heavy ammo crate.

This has to be one of the worst quest steps destiny has ever had!! You only get 1 shot every 2 minutes and that's if you get the heavy ammo and it seems to have just turned iron banner into a game of hold the heavy spawn

The main issue is having rocket launcher kills needed to progress the quest that's BS. I had the rest of the quest done in one day and its taken me 3 days to get 4 rocket launcher kills. Please remove that part or change it to a primary or special weapon.

Just so you can't use the no one you've talked to line again, I actually enjoyed using different weapons out of my comfort zone. Although to be honest only one step was different, hand cannons. I have already used Lord of Wolves and Wardcliff Coil plenty. I had fun, while completing the steps for the quest, twice so far.
