Honestly I'm lost for words right now.
All these weeks leading up to this final assault and all they do is re-skin the final boss...
Bungie had the time, resources, manpower and funding to make this seasons ending a big one but decided to stick to their tradition, being lazy.
At this point I'm not even sure if Bungie has the talent to pull of a big season finale, it seems way too out of reach for them
I've been thinking on a theory for some now and it's starting to line up. I think Bungie knows this game is dying, Destiny as a franchise is a sinking ship. Yeah sure there's lots of players at the moment but the streamers and Youtubers are slowly dropping this game, the OG players are gone and the majority of players are new light players thanks to F2P but even that's hardly holding them in.
Since D2 launched its had its ups and downs and we've all had great times over the years but the truth is Bungie are out of their depth. They have a great game and story idea but the team is no where near skilled enough to execute it hence why things aren't just unbalanced but ridiculously broken.
A clear example is OEM, for an entire YEAR the community has asked for its Nerf but rather than change a few lines of code with a hotfix Bungie would rather refresh Eververse and bolster their pockets. A company that prioritised profits over their supporters, I understand that companies need to make money that's a no brainer but there has been a very clear disregard for Destiny's community. I think their milking it for all its worth before its inevitable collapse. That would explain the sudden price spikes in Eververse.
There is simply no excuse why Bungie has pushed everyone aside like they have. A dedicated community that gets shafted time and time again and still has hopes for Bungie. Anyone who refutes this needs to go and play Vex offensive and see the re-skin finale we've all been waiting for. It's actually a joke.
We need to remember this isn't the same Bungie that brought us Halo, this is a different team altogether.

The pre-orders for Shadowkeep was an all-time high, and the game was one of the most popular on Steam. Not New Light, but Shadowkeep. Yes, Destiny 2 is dying for sure :D Bungie doing great things with this game. And hysterical vocal minority, fortunately, don't have the ability to define the course of the game. Hope Bungie will remain concentrated on hard work instead of listening to such whining opinions.

It's not a minority....most ppl are pretty disappointed in this event, and rightfully so. Literally no effort was put into this, oh a boss change.....how embarrassing.

No its dying because bungie literally refused to listen to the players. The picked and chose what they wanted to do. We wanted trials back. Simply bringing that back, would have taken the game to another level. They keep skimping on loot, and thats what makes this game. Thats the content. I dont go watch videos of poeple playing story missions because i dont care. I watch people test guns out in PvP. And now they finally bring elim back, but ruin all the balance they had going by changing armor styles and introducing artifacts that work in PvP

because you only know that it is shit, when you played it.... and then you cannot unbuy it anymore… like Cinema.... you see the Trailer, you are hyped, you see the movie, you don't like it... but you don't get your money back, you have seen it... and the Studio can say, look, everyone has seen it, so, they must have liked it... what a great world it would be, when you would be allowed to pay for such things afterwards, based on your level of satisfaction… then companies would be forced to really produce cool stuff...

Did you read what your typed? You basically said nothing. The industry worked as it did today, functionally, 10 years ago. The modern way is killing this industry to the point where software sales have tanked and dozens of publishers/devs have gone out of business.
