I watched a video yesterday of range god roll Erentil one shoting at 65m every shot. That’s a problem. However, the demonstration was set up in a private match and the victim was standing still. Realistically, how many times per match are you going to get that opportunity. Not many... Your point about TTK on a fusion being faster than most guns, ok. Nevertheless, that’s only in the instance you catch them off guard and you land enough bolts to finish them off. If not, you will die or be forced to bail the engagement. Changing the charge time? Forget about it! If you do that, fusion rifles will sit in the vault like most of our guns do, and where fusions have been since most of destiny. The only reason I get most of my kills with a fusion, is because they are not expecting me to have one. Once they adapt, move, and hang tight to cover Using one can become a detriment to your team.

  • Okay but the issue is that nobody is actually playing fusion rifles the way they should, which is baiting and catching them with the pre charge shot. Not charging on sight, and still getting the kill.

  • If they pre charge on site and still get the kill... a good portion of that blame belongs to the person getting shot. With the visual ques, and the noise, and the charge time is only slightly less than the TTK for most guns... only those who refuse to dis-engage should consistently get killed, right?

Or maybe that some of the primary’s don’t have the same time to kill as the charge time of the fusion. If you were charging at the same time he started to press the gun. Unless you are a precision god it can be hard to win those engagements and you might as well back off well actually back off is a bit of a odd term in this case since he will probably kill you from the distance

  • Unless I get caught off guard... I always have something to break line of site near me, or an exit. But, most people don’t play that way. I almost never die to a fusion, unless I didn’t think they were using one, and they proved me wrong 😂.

  • Same, I faced many people who I don’t expect to have a fusion so I play like my usual self snipe but not a toxic sniper who camps, a aggressive sniper some streamers do. If I miss a snipe I get killed but I start sniping near exit ways and Walls to get a good chance. I only die to it if they pull up to me with it and I’m not near a wall

  • I enjoyed aggressive sniping in D1. Haven’t really felt the same about it in d2.

  • There is a lot of risk to it in d2 but it’s kind of annoying when you are getting rushed and your teammates are not good in map control.

  • Yeah, I couldn’t tell you how many time I have died, in survival, with all three enemies on me. Scan around my ghost and see the other two holding hands somewhere else, and watch the enemy grab heavy lol. I have inadvertently left a teammate like that, it happens when there is no communication. But, at least pick up heavy while they’re distracted. At a minimum, stop them from getting it! If I died, they get two kills from heavy... that’s no lives left ffs 😂.

  • Like I had a game yesterday where they started with a scout and two snipers but I was able to take out with ease. One switched to a shotgun while the titan sat in the middle hiding next to heavy with a firmly planted erentil and one eyed mask. The titan wasn’t a problem as much more then one of the snipers put on a dust rock. I couldn’t switch to a shotgun to deal with it because I was the only person on the team that was able to outsnipe the guy.

  • Yeah, I bet it’s a problem finding quality teammates at your level!
