Not even 3 weeks, and all content that is getting me progress is one raid and one 100k per week... with this, not even with 100% good luck in not getting duplicates, it is less than 1 powerlevel per week... so, we are already back at playing just 1-2 hours after weekly reset and quit until next tuesday... wow....
-
That's what happens, when you care only about numbers.=) I started to play a week ago. And already have 920 or something like it. With artifact bonus you reach power levels even if you do no milestones per week. And 920 are ok for the most common activities in Destiny right now. So, if you mad, that game offer you to play what you want and don't care about leveling anymore...well...it's on your side, friend.
-
3. Raid, 100k, iron banner lol
-
You’re gonna be grateful when Modern Warfare drops next week. LoL
-
This reminds me of vanilla, when just a couple of weeks after launch there were cries of "not enough content" You cant no life a game then complain about lack of content
-
Agreed. As soon as i saw that first pinnacle drop i was just like "nope". Though i will still end the season at 970 with the artifact since i plan on going for the seasonal title. I see a few people mentioning that we dont know if the cap is going to raise each season and i think we all know the answer to that...Yes power level is just a gatekeeper to make content seem harder than it is, but i cant see Bungie just making us grind temporary levels until D2 dies. Right now it's impossible to get to the cap even with perfect rng. That feels really cheap. I'm hoping we either get a few more sources or we get to carry pinnacle levels earned forward in seasons. Like legacy light levels or something. Cause lets be honest here, even most of the hardcore players arnt gonna get close to 960. Especially with the fact that the largest source of pinnacle rewards doesnt offer a heavy weapon forcing you to rely on the 100k nightfall or monthly Iron Banner for that slot
-
I mean you paid for it silly
-
Getting to 950 means you have access and the potential to do all available activities it’s not about the power it’s about unlocking available content for yourself the number is a key and nothing else just remember that
-
....I'm starting to see a cycle. First week or so of a new content release: "Too much grind! I can't play enough to reach the cap in any reasonable time!" Shortly thereafter: "I reached the cap! Why isn't there more to do?"
-
This post is bad.... People complain that the grind is too much, makes it easier People complain they no lifed the game, want it to be harder
-
So make the pinnicles 5+ over 950 and be 960 within a month then stop playing ? 😅. That would defeat the whole purpose of having the hard cap. It keeps the game relevant for those hardcore power chasers. Its not going to make a difference for any activities. Your artifact will make up the difference. You only need to be 960 total to clear Master activities.
-
I know right, kinda depressing. Sucks there’s no matchmaking for higher lvl activities too.
-
Get used to it you have probably 6 months waiting for more content.
-
And 7 per Iron Banner(per character) And future things not unlocked such as Undying Mind activity, Dungeon, and other events.
-
This is a sad post by a segment of the community i despise, it's absolutely ridiculous that people can't JUST HAVE FUN in a game anymore !
-
I agree that pinnacles are very few atm. That being said, we need to wait and see what is coming in the new dungeon, the new nightmare activity coming out, holiday activities and what is in store with the next season. Bungie may do some adjusting with rewards as well after seeing the issue with heavy drops. I believe it was not intended to hit cap in one season and bungie has planned for this to take some time. I don't agree with this awful bountie grind though, and wish other activities contributed more xp to your power increase because grinding bounties day in and day out gets so monotonous and makes me log off a lot faster.
-
You could always play activities for fun.
-
It's easy to get to 950, did it playing through everything on Warlock, not even touched anything other than IB on my hunter or titan and both of them are now 950. Pinnacle rewards though suck, so far I've had 3 x 951 heavies and a chest piece. So that's the true RnG grind.
-
Should have taken your time and enjoyed it. I always love the posts by those who rush to the max level then wonder why there's nothing to do.
-
Your character level is not the only thing to grind in this game. I have so many quests to complete I dont even know if they will all every get done
-
You do know that you don't have to rush through everything right? It's always the same thing. People hurry up and run through everything to chase the carrot to max power level and then complain that there's nothing to do. People like that... and please keep in mind that this is not meant to be disrespectful, because everyone can play however they want.. come across as people who aren't playing this game to enjoy. It comes across that you're literally just playing the game to get to max light and then complain that there's nothing to do. Do not get me wrong.. I do wish there was more worthwhile things to do in the "endgame" of Destiny. You're complaining about only having two things to get you to 970 (982 with the artifact), when technically if they would have gone like every other season, we would have been stopped at 950. The end game is lacking. There's not much to chase. Especially if you're (not you directly, just people in general) are able to sit for 4 or 5 hours a day to grind out every little inch so that they can hit max level asap.
-
If increasing your light is the only way you enjoy this game then yes.
-
We still have some other activities to come that may reward pinnacle rewards so we may have much more chances per week.
-
I just feel burnt out with this system. I'm at 950 + 12 bonus artifact. There really isn't anything to look forward to in PvE. Raid? Maybe. The PvP "pinnacle" weapon looks interesting. Even that is a real grind to do. Not difficult, just a lot of grind. That should keep me busy. But going beyond my current power level is not exciting as there are no real benefits in the end. I think it's time to step away from this game.
-
What I do when there’s really nothing left is i complete catalysts and triumphs.
-
But the new system is great. In the past youd hit 750 light (or whatever the cap happened to be at the time) and have literally nothing else to do. 950 is essentially the cap now, and levels beyond that are rewards for doing end game content. Think about that. Destiny has a proper endgame again. There is an actual reason to run raids and nightfalls like there used to be in destiny 1. And when you finally get some 960 level gear that will actually carry some prestige. Now if theyd bring back trials and make it drop pinnacles the system would be perfect.

How about chasing better rolls on armor stats and weapons? Collect every item still available in the game, on every character, then keep going to get the perks/stats you like? Chase after titles and lore? Play for FUN??? because it's a GAME
