Today's report: Freelance Survival at Mythic III: 17 games played: 9 loses, 8 wins. Even though it's close to 50/50, somehow, I lost 300 glory points. Just that fact alone proves that the point system in general, and the streak system in particular, are utterly rubbish. If you can't go up keeping a 50/50 (a ratio Bungie forces artificially), then there is no point in playing at all. By the way, not a single 3-win streak in 17 games. But there is more! 5 out of those 9 loses were terrible 0-4 stomps, aka forced loses, against teams full of one-hit-killers that can't remember what primary ammunition was. Current matchmaking is either broken or rigged. I don't know which one scares me the most. I can't believe there is a matchmaking that everybody is enjoying up to 3000-4000 points and then this [b][u]NIGHTMARE[/u][/b] takes its place.

  • Special ammo users have been a plague for the longest. The snipers i can at least respect but its almost entirely fusions and shotguns dropping you. I hate cod with a passion but at least all their guns kill quickly not just certain types.

    All they need to do is make it like D1 with shared special (green) ammo boxes. You shouldn't begin the match with two OHK shots at your disposal when there is so much BS that can make it impossible to win because most 2 of their team are hard-scoping lanes with snipers and there's probably a hunter and/or titan trying flank to shotgun or punch you in one hit because you're distracted. You can secure a single kill in the first 5 seconds of the match and end up with 5 or more 1-shot bullets Yes, the dual primary system was even worse because of what it turned into, but at least you had to win your 1v1 gun fights and work together to team-shoot if necessary. Right now? No new rewards or modes, same old maps, no trials, and entire teams of Titans can around an entire match and never even pull out their primary. Just shoulder charging and shotguns. Perhaps a grenade Launcher if they're branching out. Oh they have their supers and nades too. A lot of these guys think they're good, but aren't, it's kinda funny because a lot of them are the exact same whiners extremely adamant about the Erentil and handheld supernova needing nerfs. This is after the crusade against Lord of Wolves shocking... a weapon literally designed to counter that specific enemy playstyle wants nerfed by the people who abuse said playstyle. Destiny community in a nutshell. The problem isn't special weapons or one-hit abilities, it's the green ammo economy combined with horrible lag in "connection based" MM. You can't have a truly competitive or fun experience in comp with all the problems that are being seemingly ignored by the devs. The crucible as a whole seems abandoned with maybe an occasional map that was ported from D1 thrown in to satiate us for an antire season [b]we also paid for[/b] I don't mind them movging D1 things to D2, but if thats the only addition to an entire gamemode that basicaly brings back A LOT the playerbase I'm beginning to wonder if maybe they just lost interest in makinf a Blatant hacking, paid recveries ruining new players' experience and making money by breaking company policy. Damage not registering and other nonsense becauase it's P2P.I Bungie, I know you wanted to promote your new Linear Fusion by buffing them... after nerfing them first... You didn't need to expand the hit critbox AGAIN like you did originally with Queenbreakers and Sleeper. Now the Arbalest went from from one my most looked forward to weapon, to something I can't use in good conscious and have fun with. For someone like me it's not fun to 1-shot somoene from across the map with a "headshot" that was obviously not even close to the head. Does Bungie even try to balance weapons and new abilities? And of course 95% of the playerbase acquires whatever broken weapon it is and they now suddenly believe they're actual good players because they practically do all the work for you. I'm sick of it. I use a 900 charge Erentil and people constantly talk shit about how its OP or whatever and needs nerfed. Where were you when I got it when Forsaken launched? There's been ZERO changes to it since then, but now it's an out of control no-skil crutch weapon used by dad's to pair with their pulses.   • I fully agree. D1 at the end was fairly well balanced i think. But then with d2 they decided "oh let's just change everything." And here we are cycling through the same metas in almost the same freaking order. Two HC in particular, pulses, shotguns and fusions, etc.

  • You have pretty much summed up my experience while playing at mythic. I will give up to about 4200 and then drop down to 3800. And its been a constant up and down swing for the last two weeks. I've seen it all from 2v3s, and i go against not only 5500 players, but unbroken players as well. I find it interesting that the system believes I'm good enough to go against legend players but I cant make it to legend rank. Lmao

  • This is exactly my experience! I'm basically stuck around 4000 at this point. Been like this for a few days. Last night, I didn't even bother to play comp for fear of dropping below 3780. Unfortunately, Bungie got us Fabled players' hopes up that we might finally get NF.

  • So, I am not the only player who feels cheatedandlied toby Bungie! Hurray! Last weekend a couple of my clanmates played and lost to a player that was in the top 0.1%. Now don't get me wrong they are very good crucible players, but no one in my clan should ever be matched against players in the top 10%. NEVER!
