Error code after error code
For the past hour or so I've been in a constant loop of "Contacting Destiny 2 Servers" which haven't been actually disconnecting me but now every time I try to load something I get kicked to orbit and receive error code: Elderberry. Is there a way to fix this?

Might be an issue on the internet providers side. I play on the Xbox and i’ve gotten them nonstop and have gotten nearly every code. But i could also be on Bungie’s side since i don’t know about your provider.
