Destiny digital download
So I’m finally getting an Xbox one this coming week. I originally purchased the original Destiny game on Digital(Xbox 360) back in 01/15 through Xbox Marketplace which included the Xbox one version. I didn’t see an expiration on this but I can’t find a way to confirm if the game will be available to me when I sign in. Anyone have any info on this?

1 RespuestaBack then, there was a time-limited window in which the digital version of the game got a free upgrade from Xbox 360 to Xbox One. If you purchased it in that time frame (you had until January 15th, 2015). However, that free upgrade program, along with the free upgrade from old gen to new gen of The Dark Below and House of Wolves, was discontinued quite a while ago in favor of purchasing Destiny: The Collection (as it comes with two additional DLCs: The Taken King and Rise of Iron). However, if your account was able to receive the free upgrades at the time they were available, then when you log in on the Xbox One, you'll have access to Destiny, The Dark Below, and House of Wolves. If you were instead outside of the time frame or the licenses didn't apply automatically, then your only option is to purchase Destiny: The Collection on the Microsoft Xbox store. This will give you every DLC for Destiny along with the digital version of the game.

To my knowledge, that promotion has now ended. Only way to know for sure is to try it when you get your xb1.
