Shame On You and your garbage Infusion Cores
Well Bungo, you scored an extra $15 outta me for AnnualPass on sale. I’m so upset how enhancement cores are still ruining this game. Oh look how fun Menageria is, but wait....my character is stuck looking like a hobo and I can’t play with any of the guns or armor I want because they’re locked behind ECores. A simple fix would be allow collections to bring guns up to the highest power you own. I’d lose access to using favored rolls on gear but I could at least play and not be murdered instantly due to being under leveled. Wouldn’t be under leveled if collections weren’t 25 LL behind. This diarrhea policy of yours is why many are fed up with just the faithful no-lifers sticking around. You’re a massive studio and that just won’t pay the bills, I’m sure of it. Seperate the game for casuals and hardcore because I don’t need to interact with those people, I just want to use the gear I want and not be a slave to your garbage mobile RNG. I just break my heart with this perfect dish of food that’s covered in bungie’s landfill soup gravy. Please fix, thank you

1 RespuestaI had 630 cores at the start of the season, down to 308 right now. I've received 20-30 cores in 2 weeks but used over 300 so far. One character is 750, the other 2 are 749... its ridiculous how fast you burn through them and other resources

7 RespuestasThe really big issue I have with farming cores are the spider bounties. 20 ghost fragments takes a while to farm, especially when you throw in people who refuse to or don't know how to make the public events heroic. It usually takes me 4-5 hours of continuous play just to get enough fragments to afford the powerful bounty and the core bounties. This gets rather exhausting after a while when you also consider half of those bounties involve sitting around and waiting for a high-value-target to spawn. This isn't gameplay, it's gamewait. The Gunsmith bounties are a neat idea, but their execution is a bit flawed: namely in that they replaced scrapper bounties. Nobody wanted scrapper bounties to go away as far as I can recall. There is an argument to be made for the sake of cores involving masterworking weapons; obviously Bungie wants masterworking to be a significant investment. To that I believe there can be a compromise of allowing the infusion of gear to not cost cores at all, but increase the core cost of masterworking weapons. For the cherry on top, allow the masterworks to be rerolled like Y1 weapon masterworks for the cost of cores. This preserves the value of cores as a resource for those looking to squeeze the most out of their weapons, while also satisfying those who simply like to play different builds.

2 RespuestasIt is ridiculous after all this community feedback that we just have a few extra gunsmith bounties to gather cores from daily and that’s that... Every new season starts with everybody’s guardian looking like a vagabond for the first few weeks (or longer) whilst we equip higher & higher powered gear on the upwards slog - to 750 this time. The thing is this doesn’t just effect aesthetics - many of us balance our speed/resilience & recovery trying to manage this balance daily/hourly or whenever we get a new piece of armor is futile. I personally have never fully masterworked an armor set in D2 because it usually takes me to the end of the season to reach a point when I have sufficient cores - but at that point it dawns on you that you will need to save them for the next big content drop to begin that slog all over again. The economy is seemingly focussed on the streamers who play the game 24/7 and are unlikely to complain as they are all rolling in an abundance of materials at this point. Come on bungie check those guardians out how many of em are fully masterworked as a percentage of the wider community? See! Now change this for the better please and let us enjoy your game to the fullest.

1 RespuestaNo core for infusion! Master Crafting is ok. It would not be an issue if they did keep putting in time waster light level increases to destroy your fun and play style. Level is the absolute worst part of this game followed by its design to monetize everything(Yeah we will never stop busting you on shaders and a cost to pull them back out. shame on you) D1 had it right and you just missed it entirely.

2 RespuestasThe bulk of the community fought daily for a change for 9 months and they didn’t listen. It pushed me away from the game almost completely, and did for about 6 months. Not sure why they care so much. It is what it is I guess, but it is def my least favorite part of the game by a country mile.

I don’t even want to bother to find out. What I could never understand is the whole core thing was based on a (bad) hunch with little to no merit in terms of providing any value to players and their experiences. So, for those who think they have “enough” cores, do you use/spend any cores on the gears you have acquired during that month of getting them or you simply put them away as you focus on hitting the 200+ quota then figuring out which gear you would spend cores on? Just say I have acquired a set of new armors and one each primary, energy and heavy weapon that I want to infuse/masterwork. It’s common to use 40 cores on 4 pieces of armor and 15 on each weapon, that’s 85 cores. Two more sets for the other two characters, that’s 80 more cores either the same guns or 45 more cores for another set. So, after a whole month you will be using the same set of armors and two sets of guns. Why do you have/need a vault for 500 items then? how many more months will you be getting that 200+ cores/month to infuse/masterwork half of those mediocre items (from doing chores of course) in your vault before you can actually enjoy “real” fight? “Our hope is that this increased access and control over Enhancement Core acquisition will help improve the balance of materials being earned vs. materials being used. As always, we’ll be continuously monitoring this item economy, along with your feedback to assess its effectiveness.” Bungie was saying that they “hope” instead of providing any logic in how exactly it works. And they were not even sure so-called “balance” was even an issue or needed to be “improved” to put chokehold on it. Bungie claims that they fully “understand” the importance of the balance of this material. On paper, maybe! At consumer level (players who enjoy playing instead of doing chores), the only balance that concerns them is that they always have enough material of any kinds from doing activities they enjoy.

8 RespuestasThe amount of cores isnt the issue. The problem is that their existence pretty much eliminates tinkering. You just use the same thing all the time because it's impossible to spend all that currency to upgrade different stuff. The problem is compounded when what you want to infuse is a masterworked item.. Kind of stupid.. and makes the game boring.

1 RespuestaThis is not an issue anymore. All of you who are complaining about enhancement cores need to look at game systems and learn how to use them. You can earn a TON of cores from bounties each week. Also, you dont need so many cores that you should be impacted unless you infuse as soon as you get even a minor light upgrade. I havent infused armor since the new expansion dropped. Find a set you like and then infuse to get it up. Its not rocket science.

Let me say this. I recently reached one of my burnout points for D2 again. Still taking my break especially cause I have everything I wanted. Enhancement cores have always helped that burnout to boredom come quick. Everytime I get ready to play Destiny again right now I just end up logging back onto Halo. I really need to get around to beating MCC on legendary.

Dude they actually got better this season because you have more per day and per week to earn them. So long as you don’t spend them on things that are 1-7 light levels above your current gear you’ll be fine. That’s how I get my gear leveled even though it may be slow it works.

Lol on season of the drifter I farmed the cores in reckoning until I got to 100. On season of opulence I was able to masterwork a few weapons and reach 745 (though you can't physically see it) as I am utilizing a new way to optimize infusion. As of now I still have 45-50 cores. So I don't think there is nothing wrong with the core economy... :p

I really wish that those who complain about the material issues in the game would also post the amount of time they have invested in the game. Most, not all but, most, play very little wnat everything endgame has to offer but, without the investment of time playing. I look up so many of these people who play in the 80% of players.. meaning. 80% of the population plays more than they do.. well, why do you expect the glory of all the stuff, if you don't put in the time to play the game that you bought.. Hey I get it.. you may not like it.. but, then stop playing and find a game you do like. I don't like playing basketball, I don't try to make it baseball (thank you trey parker and mat stone for showing us how trying to make the two one is equally ridiculous). The game we have needs to be played. the more you play, the more you are likely to be able to enjoy those things you want.

Even when you do reach max level you rarely level anything up and hoard the cores. Meaningful infusion has been requested for ages.
