Ask for the opposite of this and it may happen. It’s been a trend of Bungie to do the opposite of what this community asks for.

Started Season of the Drifter with ~100 Cores, maxed all my chars, masterworked several weapons and armor, have 200+ cores now and never did a single spider bounty this season. Honestly you dont need to do spider bountys as playing active will give you enough cores these days. The droprates for finest matterweave seem to have increased a lot (which gives you cores for killing orangebars), when playing gambit prime (or reckoning) you have the chance to get the gambit prime weapon currated rolls which give you 7 cores if you dont need them (i got 4 masterworked shotguns before my first reset). The weekly clan EP milestone (5k XP) at clanlevel 4 gives you another 7 cores per char. If you can manage your cores and try buy 1 or 2 cores per day for legendary shards you should be fine. Manging your cores means you should not infuse if the powerlevel of an item is less than +10 or better +16 if you dont need that little bit of extra Powerlevel. And most importantly, you dont have to wear the equipment with the highest powerlevel to get items with higher powerlevel from the next powerfull rewards. Just put your highest powerlevel equipment on if you get some new stuff and then switch back to the gear you like. The game remembers what is the highest powerlevel you have reached and that will count for every powerfull drop you will get.

It doesn't matter how many times it's posted, or who posts it. Every single time I see a thread asking for these things to be removed from Infusions, I give it my upvote. Together we'll end this madness once and for all.

God forbid something isn’t easy to get in this game. Please go play something else. I’m so sick of people wanting everything handed to them. This the type of dude that still has his mom put his clothes out for him. Earn cores like everyone else stop trying to ruin this game.

Well I have done what folks say, don’t infuse till 700. In three weeks I’ve saved up 102 core and now have 119! This really works. The down side is it is -blam!-ing awful. I don’t have any of my fun guns, my armor is a mismatched set and I haven’t even bothered applying shaders. But hey! I have a ton of cores for when I get to 700! Sadly, I won’t use them cause 750 is around the corner Core suck

I dont understand why bungie is so pushy about this. Its probably some lead dev who is pissed because it was their idea and refuses to let it go.

[b]"They're easy to acquire"[/b] Maybe, but it's the boring grind that Bungie is using them as if they are (Motes of light) [b]"I have plenty of them"[/b] Not being rude to anyone but most can care less on how many anyone has. You can have 10.000 of them, especially with the recent, umm, hmm.... bug? and it won't make any difference at all. Why? because they are still an issue and that issue is, (there are only 2 things you can use them for) so you will end up staking having all this core and nothing to use them on. The issue is, 90% of the gear in this game (isn't appealing) to most gamers so they don't use the cores and that adds to that staking. [b]"You can purchase them from Spider or wherever"[/b] True, but if this is supposed to be a "meaningful grind" to collect them so you can make that "meaningful choice", why has the cost continue to go up to masterwork items? Correct me if I'm wrong, meaningful choices means a desired choice, but when most of the gear is not being used in this game, or can't be used because of the "collection" doesn't allow you to be able to "collect" the items you collected. How is that creating meaningful choices in this game at all? I only gave a couple of examples with what's wrong with using cores as a form of infusion. [spoiler]Cores are not a currency Cores are not a meaningful grind Cores are not anywhere near as useful as a material as Motes of light actually are, that it's a benefit to the game that actually (improved the game in D1.) Cores literally do not improve anything about D2 at all and that is a fact. Simple solution, go back to how the infusion was and add d1 loot system to d2. Problem solved.[/spoiler] The system how it was prior to the cores being used for infusion is how it should have stayed and that is using cores to only masterwork items. There was no "need" to change the infusion system at all.[b](Bungie/investment team should have been looking for what improves the gamers experience playing this game period.)[/b] Not create a grind that has become a pure waste of time.

Grinding for cores is boring, and the core-based infusion system is just an artificial roadblock that stops players from having gear they like as they level up. I'm fine with cores being used for masterworks, that makes sense, but the infusion system as it stands is just tedious, especially (and people tend to forget this, if some of the comments here are any indication) if you're a more casual player.

Cores are not a problem for the last -blam!-ing time. Remove cores post should all be marked as spam at this point. They made it abundantly clear they will not remove them. So get over it already.

I’d rather have another source of mod components, enhancement cores are no longer an issue

I like the fact people still complain about this, I have full masterworked set for all charachters as well as a large amount of masterworked weapons with over 300 cores to spare, I have not gone out of my way to do this or used any exploits, I just do raids often and make sure to do the weekly thing for hawthorn for the free 7 cores.
