It's the song that never ends. Shiny new exotic / pinnacle weapon --> people chase it, get it, use it, like it --> too many people like it because 80% of the other stuff is just trash --> bungie makes up some lame excuse and nerfs it into the ground 2 weeks before another new shiny toy comes out. Rinse and Repeat This song never ends because people keep playing the same song and dance.
