Help - I got matchmaking restricted for my account and it’s certainly a mistake
I logged on today - tested my internet as per usual (355mbps and type 2 NAT) and was good to go.
Logged into Destiny to find I’ve been banned from matchmaking? I have not been disconnected from a matchmade event or match for literally months. Maybe once?
I’m not tech savvy at all but I’m in Aus using cable and you saw above what my speed was when I checked, I have no lag when playing, none of my friends I play with have reported any issues with me when playing matchmade events or raiding etc. I don’t even teabag or behave toxic.
But now I’m banned for 2 weeks - a couple of games from getting Lunas and recluse, a couple of wins from 21% delirium. New season around the corner. No warnings of this ban or restriction, no messages to say check your connection or your connection has been reported or is being monitored.
I check the site and see that you literally can’t over turn these things and that if I’m banned its for good reason. Which hardly seems fair when this is clearly a mistake? But I don’t even know how to go about making this seen or what to do.
Anyone had this issue before? Anyone been able to overturn a restriction or at least get an answer to a please explain?

I've had a similar problem. in the past, I've had internet issues which got me that same two-week restriction, and since then I've been checking my connection beforehand as well. I literally just got my own luna's/recluse and the next morning, I logged in to find a two-month restriction. I know my internet was not having issues (save one game, but that was 1 out of 12 I played that day, and one game out of two whole weeks without that problem). I did notice, though, with my lfg team, we did win 7 out of 7 games which was odd. there were even several games when the other team lost players due to lag issues. I suspect one of my teammates was perhaps doing something with their internets, (Ddosing or something) and I was caught in the ban hammer swing. maybe the same thing happened with you... regardless of how unfair and frustrating it is, in Bungie's terms and agreements thingy, it states they will NOT discuss or overturn anything to do with bans or restrictions for any reason. it's stupid, unfair, and sucks a ton, but there's nothing we can do about it.... maybe sometime in the future these things might be addressed, but I doubt it. I wish I could at least know why I was restricted..... especially since it's a TWO-MONTH one!!!!! Good luck to you with your search for help....
