I'm not sure exactly where I stand within the Destiny community, but when it comes to masterowork/enhancement cores, I've never had a single issue. I do play a fair amount, but more than this, understanding how to get enhancement cores aside from The Spider isn't difficult in the least. While it is up to a certain amount of RNG, scrapper bounties are a fair constant for me and not difficult to re-acquire on a constant basis. Some weeks I barely play and mainly knock out the stuff on the director and through this, between cores popping out of gear, enhanced matterweave and scrapper bounties, I usually get at the very least twenty cores per week. And that's not counting Spiders bounties which are stupid easy to get. Spend about half an hour on the Shore and your guaranteed to get the ghost fragments needed for the necessary bounties. As for the bounties themselves, they typically take anywhere from one to five minutes to complete, depending on a bit of luck for the HVT bounties or simply going back to orbit and popping back in the zone the HVT is supposed to spawn in. While I understand the plight some people face when not having enough cores, all I can say is better understand the games underlying mechanics in how these items are acquired via RNG and use it to your advantage. Let extra crap go to your postmaster if you have the three scapper bounties. For the Vanguard takes no more than ten minutes, whether it's getting kills with your weapon types or opening the chest. Lost Sector scapper bounties shouldn't take more than five minutes, no matter the case. Crucible scapper bounties should only take one quicklplay match depending on which Crucible scrapper bounty you got. The ones for headshots and ability kills should take only one match. The one for capturing zones could potentially take longer depending on whether or not you get a control match over clash. Between all three characters and Spiders bounties, over the course of the week between resets, should take roughly: 30 minutes per character for 20 ghost fragments. So 90 minutes there. The Lost Sectors are five minutes each, if not less. So that's another 45 minutes total. The HVT's can be hit or miss. Assuming the HVT is still alive or available when you arrive to that zone, it should take about ten seconds to flatten any HVT. If not available and assuming you have to re-instance, lets just go ahead and say another five minutes per bounty. So, in total over the course of SEVEN days, it would at the absolute max take three hours to take care of all of Spider's bounties that deal exclusively with the cores. And that's not mentioning the fact you can easily pick up at least two cores per day for 30 legendary shards, which you should easily get while doing these bounties too. And that's not to mention the potential for a scapper bounty to pop up while doing these too. The math is against you my friend.

  • it is not the point. the point is the distribution. as you stated.
I usually get at the very least twenty cores per week
compare that to farming other materials and we have a huge issue. why are they so limited? they are not only endgame materials. I get it that some people say that it is a good amount. my point is there is a better method of distribution that could be had. when I read what you have outlined the game no longer sounds like a game; it sounds like a job. you said 90 mins with 3 characters. some players do not like spending their time doing mundane tasks. the point I was making more than anything is we could have the distribution through activities we enjoy without it being Fed to us as it currently is. The world of destiny would be put to far better use. nobody likes the glimmer cap. we all agree it could be increased to a lot more at least. cores Is no difference. would you b okay if other materials were as scarce as cores? I just want destiny to feel fun and not a chore/walled.

A fair point in that mundane tasks can feel tedious. And I don't blame people who don't have as much time for not enjoying these tasks. I fully understand. And I will not argue that distribution of cores is rather limited. And, as much as I hate saying it, gathering cores can be something of a chore. I guess in my case, I'm always screwing around with new weapon/gear setups while in open PvE areas, so I keep myself from getting bored. So my entire opinion is a bit limited in that regard. But I will agree the system needs serious work. Not a total overhaul. So here's to hoping Banshee's coming bounties will really and truly help people who don't have excess time to knock out tasks as you stated. I should have said before that on a regular basis, I probably drop an average of 25 hours per week onto Destiny 2. I sincerely doubt most of the playbase has or can make that kind of free time. Oh a quick edit in regard to the quote you used, that 20 cores is not counting Spider bounties and that's per character. So in reality, discounting Spider's bounties, it's 60 cores per week + Spider.
