Are powerful rewards still a problem for anyone else?
So, here's my deal along with some friends I play with. Before this season and last update on Tuesday, Powerful engrams/rewards like daily's, weekly, strikes, daily missions and Flashpoints were dropping at about +2 or +3 above your power. Petra would drop a little higher, Ada-1 dropped higher, and so did NF. But now, EVERYTHING is dropping at +1 or 0 for me. Primes and exotics are the only ones to drop at about +5 to +7. I thought they said this was fixed in the patch notes or did I miss something. Thank god we have new pinnacle weapon bounties and Thorn now, because raids and milestones are pointless.
Someone on a FB group said that your allegiance decision will effect a lot of things. One is, If you pick Drifter, your Vanguard power engrams will drop lower but your gambit stuff will drop higher. But I know this is a lie because I'm Drifter on my Hunter and Vanguard on my Warlock and it's still dropping shit power increases on both. Am I the only one?

Its a bug that they try to fix currently, u should get only +1 powerfuls on ur last 10 light lvls (690-700 this season) but every1 is getting +1 powerfuls most of the time Btw annualpass content gives usually higher light than forsaken/y1 content

Yep. Even my Prime Engrams are dropping at -4 & -1. Every third one is +1. Every Powerful gear drop I get is a minimum -20 points my current level. -blam!-ing absurd.

Nope, you’re not the only one. Your observations of the present drop rates are spot on. Div 2 for me Friday. Artificially extended power level for no new content and grinding the old content with snail like progress is a waste of time. Do better Bungie.

Some of the real early stuff went at just +1 for me for a short while but that seemed to jump up once I got going, around 550 - 560, then it started to average at maybe around +4 / +5. I do think if you happen to have one piece that's very below the average of the others, that may affect it, too -- I was testing out some old Exotics to see if I wanted to upgrade them and put them into rotation and that seemed to make things drop lower until I upgraded it and got it within average range of my other pieces. I've had Primes go as high as +12. With Gambit / Crucible, if you're on the losing side, it seems to drop noticeably lower on average than if you win. I think Fireteam medallions make a difference, as well, both in higher numbers and more frequent Primes.

It’s not as much a problem with the +1 stuff as the primes dropping in the same category as your last high piece over and over. Maybe 1/3 drops are “good” and the others magically seem to drop on the item you have high - so in effect no advancement. I swear Bungie RNG is programmed to look at what you DON’T need and weight the drop to fall there at least 50/50. Maybe 66/33. How else do you get the gauntlets over and over on multiple characters ( as An example)

All are plus 1 except for raids. But today they dropped at same light. I think it might be bugged. Still managed to hit 696 today on lock and 690 on hunter. I know how to power level so I am not really bothered by it

Some poweful rewards give +2, but sometimes +11. Despite that they have been a little bit more generous this week.

I've just been skipping the stuff like daily heroics and strikes and only doing raids and dreaming city, whatever stuff drops higher gear. They said there is a cap that is supposed to begin at 690 but it's activa ting at 650 instead. I think they are still trying to fix it. Luckily, there is only one thing where the new level cap is necessary, the reckoning. I've been able to.complete them at 10 levels lower than recommended though and it hasn't been too much of an issue leveling slow. Otherwise, I honestly don't care about power progression. I'm just letting it happen as it does because even if I can't do tier 3 on day 1, it's not like I can't do it later. Literally the only thing that makes me mad about leveling, is when it's impossible to attempt a blind raid run on launch day when leveling rng screws me. Other than that, not really a big deal or something i chase. There isn't much of a reason to reach max on that number, just for the sake of it. I know it's important to a lot of people for some reason, but I just can't let that be the reason I play the game.

Same here. I think the powerful milestones should be at the same drop level as Prime Engrams. PEs are random and although the milestones aren't hard in anyway, they are more time consuming. +1 feels like a slap in the face. I understand that Bungie doesn't want everyone at 700 after the first week, but +1?! Come on. And I bet that was their plan until they saw how lame that is when people play the game.

Yes but I think it's deliberate to slow down levelling so I wouldn't expect them to 'fix' it.

Works fine for me already 700 power much easier to reach compared to black armory due to more activities giving more powerful loot even if it is just 1+

They haven't fixed the problem yet, they only said they'd fix it eventually. Gotta do everything they can to keep normal players out of reckoning.

I’m going threw the same thing. My friend is 679 and I’m Barely 670. If it wasn’t for primes I wouldn’t have leveled up at all. All the weekly drops have been weaker then my actual level

+2 drops from both raids. Match or less on everything else for me

Yup. Every milestone has dropped one or two levels above me, same as my current gear, or lower. Random bright engram and exotics drop almost 8-10 levels above

yes, and its pretty annoying to get 3 times a helmet of 681 lvl, and then a 683 , and for last a 682 just so we can enjoy the game :) , but if you have a problem you can contact them on this link ( …………..) sorry I forgot to mention , there is no any link or customer service for bungie , but instead you can write on forums , what they newer read :) that's how it goes in these days, they create a one way game , you pay , they give something , but when you want to contact them , you don't have any chance !
