The actual milestones so far I haven’t don’t the new gambit modes yet
-
But which ones specifically? Different activities reward different power level increase ranges.
-
Flash point Heroic adv on titan 3 strikes 3 daily heroics That’s it so far that I have finished
-
Ok. Those are all classified as tier 1 bounties, so they only provide a minimal (+1 or +2) potential power level increase.
-
I believe that your answer is only partially correct. The engrams that are being discussed should drop at a higher rate until you reach the "soft cap" at which time they would drop down to the current +1. With them being at the soft cap now would imply that Bungie has eliminated that feature to slow down progression. I know for a fact that during the last season my character was progressing by +5 to +10 per week. Just by doing the milestones. At the current progression rate I will be lucky to get +1 or +2 per week.
-
How do we know what current soft cap is? Would seem to be around 630-640, since that is what the power up bounties get characters to.
-
Historically, the soft cap was set about 20 below the max light level. If the new soft cap is now at 640, then that directly indicates a purposeful slowing of a players ability to level up by Bungie. All I can say is that my experience from the last season is that my speed for leveling up did not slow down until I was in the 645 range, and that was mostly due to needing specific weapon/armor pieces to complete the process. I did get my first prime engram yesterday and it dropped at +5. They used to drop at +10 until the soft cap. Which is strong data to say they screwed us again to add more grind.
-
Actually, the soft cap has historically been more than just 20 points below max. In base game, it was 260 (-40 from 300 max), Osiris was around 320 (-30 of max), and Forsaken was 500 (-100 of max).
-
The soft cap has always been reflected by the max light weapons that you could get from Banshee. Before this last update that was at 630 light. This was to prevent people from using materials to purchase their way to max light. Regardless, all of the data indicates that the soft cap was not increased as it has historically been to facilitate progress to max light. I am betting that the system was designed to force you into the new gambit modes if you want to level up at the old normal speed. Otherwise, expect to the journey to be a crawl. Personally, I am in the upper 2% of people based on time spent playing. And this grind target is getting old.

Editado por dc213baseball: 3/6/2019 12:49:00 PMNo. The gunsmith engrams (as well as other NPC engrams) followed the power level of regular legendary rewards (around -20 of a character’s max power level) after reaching soft cap. This is in no way an indication of what the soft cap may have been.
-
We can agree to disagree. All I KNOW is that progress has been slowed down compared to my experience from last season. That is unacceptable IMO.
-
And unless Bungie officially says there is an issue, we simply have to believe that the rewards being given are appropriate. Now that we have more ways to get power rewards, it stands to reason that things are working as normal for now...regardless of how things worked in the past.
-
Bungie does not determine if a reward is "appropriate", the player determines that. Bungie designs the reward system. With the number of complaints about the low level "power" rewards and the fact that they have not responded leads me to the belief that the rewards are working "as designed". As a player you can either be OK with that or find it a problem. Your choice!!
-
Which is EXACTLY what I was saying. Unless Bungie says that the rewards are being given at a lower than expected power, then we have to assume that things are working as they should be.
-
First, let me commend you on being able to maintain a conversation without digression into insults. That ability seems to be very rare in this community. Second, just because it might be "working as designed" does not mean it has not changed or is as it should be. Finally, I work hard to see others points of view. In this case it is interesting to me that we are looking at the same thing yet see something different. I have enjoyed the discussion, have a great day!!!
-
1. Thanks! Same to you. Personally, I see no real benefit to throwing insults. Just because I may not agree with you/others on some matter doesn’t give me a right to insult, and it just detracts from the conversation at hand. 2. Which is why I’ve said that we have to believe the +1 power rewards for these activities are dropping as they are intended, unless Bungie says that it is an error. 3. As do I. I know I’m not always right (heck, even earlier I misinterpreted what someone was saying in a different post & had to retract my initial statement). I do feel that we are both saying essentially the same thing but just in different ways. I hope you have a great day too.
-
Not trying to restart the conversation, but with the TWAB indicating the powerful rewards are being "looked into" I can only draw two possible conclusions: either a fully implemented and functioning system messed up OR they got caught with their "hand in the cookie jar" and are trying to find a way out without being held responsible. I tend to lean towards the latter one as this is not the first time they have done this. Hopefully I did not mess up your day and it continues to be a great Friday!!
-
Editado por dc213baseball: 3/8/2019 4:53:53 PMNot messing my day up. This is why I also mentioned that we have to go with they are dropping appropriate levels unless Bungie says otherwise. Now, it appears they have said they will look into it, thus things may not be dropping at correct power. Even still, this decrease may be a change that was implemented & they “forgot” to mention to us. We don’t know everything until Bungie confirms information to us as to how things should be.
-
Is this part of their new roll out because I was getting five or more yesterday
-
Nope. Been this way since Forsaken (or possibly Black Armory) launched. What do you mean “5 or more”?
-
Five points. I just ran all my secondary characters through all the milestones the last three days. I did not have one powerful drop from these milestones less then five points
-
All your characters are 650. I don’t understand how you’re saying they were getting +5 rewards yesterday when 650 was max.
-
My other two characters I just finished yesterday getting them to 650.
-
But you had your weapons to pull you forward right? So your average was higher this is why it seemed they were dropping +5. As previous user stated, these are dripping correctly.
