People are upset (myself included) because your progress in getting kills on guardians is set back by deaths. Have a bad game? Oh, you could lose a quarter of your progress. Just not that good at crucible? Could take 20 matches.

Because a BIG number of players are not very good, mostly average or just above or just below average, I manage 1 kill per life usually. A death is -2% of progress....so....one kill one death, no progress made at all.

I can see why that's annoying but how is that different from messing up a raid mechanic and having to wipe?

Wiping doesn't set you back to the previous encounter that you already beat.

It's about the same tbh. I wouldn't care if it was kill 500 guardians in the crucible instead of 50 (rough guess based on percent values on kills in quest), as long as there wasn't progress loss.
