I've been playing Destiny since launch. Over the years there have been many good and bad memories. This Black Armory is by far the worse update heck even worse than Osiris expansion. Now I understand this is end game activity. I am power 611 completed all my daily/weekly powerful gear, bounties, iron banner etc. There is NOTHING else to do apart from the Black Armory hence I purchased the annual pass. First I would like to start off with the frustration of power level system which is broken when completing challenges, bounties for powerful gear. I get the same power level armor or weapon example... my heavy weapon could do with a power level boost but nope instead I already got helmet at 608, drops me helmet at 608. This is one of main problems with powerful gear drop. With each powerful gear we need the option to select from primary, secondary, gaunlet etc. Same applies to Prime Engrams. That should be the fix! Attempting the first Volundr Forge is absolute garbage. Matchmaking is broken... Put in Forge by myself numerous times. Matched with others whom are power 599-507. I'd get the odd power of one at 619 or so. Put in matches where the timer is just about to expire then back to matchmaking again. There were several waves of Forge where the timer said 7 seconds remaining but the game ends as a loss before the timer expired. Why isn't there a normal matchmaking rather than going to EDZ all the time? Matchmaking for Forge should be locked at until we hit power 620. Radiant Energy have input delay. I have died few times trying to pick up these Radiant Energy! Spent over 2 hours and not even completed the Forge once. This is the frustrating part, either I'll clear first two waves and third wave not a chance or fail at second wave. I don't have great weapons like IKELOS, Whisper, Simulant etc. However I do have D.F.A, Borealis (sometimes I swap to Wishbringer), Crooked Fang and I have my armor perks to drop sniper, fusion, shotgun ammo etc. Bungie have not tested this themselves by the looks of it. Forge, me being at power 611 is literally unplayable. Forge is not fun and it's literally doing chores. Timer should be removed from all Forge. Bungie is trying to rush us. I'm asking Bungie.. especially DeeJ, dmg04, Cozmo. Consider looking in to feedbacks not only mine but others whom have problems and provide a proper solution to this game and the upcoming modes so that they don't go through the same problems. It's not fair on people to pay for something that they can't even play and complete without frustration unless getting higher power higher than the recommended power level! Although the recommended power for Forge is 610 but actually not. First round is 615, next 625, 630 etc. This is not clear! What does one do when they got nothing to do in order to receive powerful gear and get boost to help in the progression of Forge? What Bungie should do is... completing first wave of Forge this should drop random powerful gear at power up to 615, this way if you're losing on second wave constantly at least you have some way of getting character power to 615 to help complete that wave. Same then goes for if you complete second wave of Forge you should get random gear drop up to 620 to help with final wave of Forge so therefore this method will be better as others don't want to grind the same old strikes, nightfall to get higher power for weeks and weeks that they been doing for the past year or so. Bungie are giving those under power 600 more Prime engrams to drops frequently so that they can get to power 600. Why not change this and make it 615 so it gives others the chance to actually get on board with Black Armory? I hit power 611 and the drop rate of Prime Engrams are not to be seen same as the Exotic drops. Exotic is a mess and a new system needs to be put in place. The way I would do it is have random old exotic drop after you complete all daily/weekly Vanguard challenges then when you complete all PvP weekly/daily challenges you get another old random exotic drop. Finally if you complete all daily/weekly challenges you should get random new exotic drop. All these exotic drop should be powerful gear. The thing is hardcore streamers/players will have the time to grind and play until they beat the mode and get what they want. I don't have time to spend hours and hours on the game. Time is precious, I just want to relax and get my quests done from the new Black Armory but I can't. Things like this is putting me off from actually playing the game or even bothering with any future content. I'm sure there are others that feel same about this those whom have kids, job well a busy lifestyle. I personally think Bungie are catering more towards hardcore players yet this game isn't even ESPORTS level even the diabolical PvP is a mess (I'll save for another day). Annual Pass is misleading. Bungie should advertise Black Armory recommended power 620 required. Just look at the way Bungie advertise Forsaken (on some versions of the game... says Destiny 2 sold separately but I don't see this listed anywhere on the PlayStation or Xbox store separately). Misleading and not accurate information. There are people out there that have stopped playing this game due to the changes Bungie made and the way Bungie don't listen to genuine feedback. Bungie only listen if the game takes a nose dive in players example Osiris, Warmind expansions and even the first week launch of Black Armory power reduced by 5 for Forge. Enchancment Cores is not needed and I don't see why this is still in the game. Why can't you understand Bungie that this is not needed and whom ever decided to put this in the game should be sent to mental asylum, oh wait Bungie actually listened to hardcore players and thought hey we make it harder to level up gear. Ever heard of the term "if it ain't broke don't fix it"? Guess not Bungie! I have other games to play but I put many hours playing this game instead as I like this franchise and the gameplay. However the way Black Armory forces you to use other weapons in order to progress through Forge when you are power 610 is wrong. I should be able to use any weapons that I like (my playstyle) and progress through the waves of Forge. This is not the case as scout rifles, auto rifles are weak and being power 611 you can feel the disadvantage using those class of weapons. There are people that like using auto rifles, scout rifles etc. The meta for this game is literally hand canon, shotgun and fusion rifle. So here is an idea Bungie... why not remove all scout and auto rifles from the game? Obviously if you are power 650 then Forge is no problem using scout or auto rifle on that max power cap. I for one have opted for refund with Xbox Support for annual pass. I don't think I will waste my time with this Forge mode at this current state because of the frustration this brings. Bungie don't realise the problems with Forge especially those at power 610 are affected highly. Bungie have done nothing than just reduced the power by 5 which hardly makes a difference in Forge. Having some of the Black Armory weapons in Raid is a stupid move! Some don't play Raid. The Raid should have own unique weapon set. Future upcoming Forge, don't put these weapons in Raid! I would like to see a live stream of DeeJ, dmg04 and Cozmo complete the Forge at power 610 with scout/auto rifle and either rocket/fusion rifle. No IKELOS/Shotgun, sleeper simulant or whisper. See how long it takes them three to complete the Forge. Destiny 2 is going to get a huge hit in player base when Anthem and Division 2 release next year. If Bungie continue at this rate like they are doing with Forge, broken power level drops and not listening to feedbacks then good luck as you will need it. Bungie turned it around with Forsaken after the diabolical Osiris expansion but looks like Bungie are going back to old method. Well done!
