Destiny 2 Saxophone Error, Blizzcon free gift.

Hello I'm one of the many who recently received Destiny 2 for free as was announced at Blizzcon, but I have not been able to play the game at all. I get the saxophone error telling me to restart the game through the battle.net launcher but that hasn't worked at all. Completely closing battle.net AND Destiny 2 and then restarting doesn't help either. I've tried restarting my pc as well. The so-called "Help Article" (https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/46139) states several possible reasons for the error but none of those apply to me. I didn't play it during a free weekend, I'm not launching the game from outside the battle.net launcher (although the error also occurs if launching that way, even as administrator), I have not installed the game on other devices, and the battle.net authentication is not under maintenance as evident by several of my friends having no issues when launching the game. After googling the issue, I have learned that many people have encountered the exact same issue and that there apparently is no fix. Help.

 • Hello. Thank you for your report. You might need to update the battle.net app or Destiny 2. To confirm, you're pressing the Play button to launch the game? At what point does the error pop up? You may want to perform a scan and repair in the Battle.net app to see if that may help with your issue.
