I think it's fine. It gives me a reason to go to a planet I rarely visit, or see what Spider is selling. I managed to get over 200 Seraphite just by doing Patrols and looking around long enough. Pretty fun, actually.

If you’re forced to go to a location because of a grind and not because you’re interested that sounds like failure to me
-
I only got that much Seraphite because Patrols give out Resonate things, which I needed for the Sleeper Simulant thing.
-
You'll have even more of a reason to go to each planet you rarely visit if the rewards were more lucrative and without an artificial barrier that is placed to stop you from gathering Planetary Materials.
-
That is also why I buy most of my materials from Spider.
-
I do too. But sometimes he doesn't sell what you need. If you decide to farm Planetary Materials with a Combo Detector Ghost Shell, you'll farm 6 chests/nodes (which is 6~18 materials) too quickly for Bungie that they decide that you'll be locked out of looting more of those materials from those chests/nodes for about 2 minutes. The artificial barrier really shouldn't be a thing anymore since Forsaken's new Infusion system.
-
Have you found every region chest for a certain planet? They give out planetary materials, somewhere around 6 or more, I believe.
-
Yep. Once you hit a higher Power Level, like 600, and you start to Infuse all your good rolled gear with the 600 Power Level Infusion Fuel, you'll find yourself needing to farm Planetary Materials and find yourself only getting Glimmer from a chest or a node quite quickly.
-
Don't Patrols give out planetary materials?
-
They do. But now I can't shake the feeling that you're purposefully avoiding the actual subject of my thread because for some reason you believe that it's okay to be locked from looting chests and planetary nodes. Think of it this way, let's say that the Spider allows you to purchase Planetary Materials as he currently does, however, after your 6th consecutive purchase, he no longer sells you materials but still takes your payment from you. Because Bungie sees that players are obtaining too much Planetary Materials too quickly, you can no longer obtain materials from him for another 2 minutes. I'd like to see you continue with your mental gymnastics.
