Have you ever played a match on equinox? Shotguns are useless there. Snipers are perfect for that map

I wouldn't say useless. And I'm saying sniping in general, not just on one map. Also you can pair a scout or pulse with a shotgun for long ranges to combat snipers, there's nothing like that besides sidearms to combat shotguns at close range and their damage falloff is ridiculous. So when you run out of ammo now you're confined to close range and mid and long range are officially impossible.

SMGs combat snipers? I'm assuming you meant shotguns. And their time to kill is no longer fast enough to combat decent shotgun players. 23 to the head? that means you have to hit 9 headshots to kill. Combine that with damage fall off and you have a water gun.

Yeah it was a typo sorry. I was typing while eating lol. It’s plenty fast enough to me. What smg are you using? I have an antiope with hcr, zen moment, and dynamic sway reduction. I can easily gun people down at medium range with it

If I were to use one it would be hero's burden. But the fastest shotgun shutdown weapon I've used is my full auto smugglers word I think is what it's called. It's one of the two round burst sidearms and it kills quickly at close range. But as soon as you use your two shots of sniping ammo your back to only being able to shoot people from like 10 feet or closer
