The lore for this game is really impressive. It’s not really my cup of tea or what I care about in the game but after reading some of the triumphs that unlocked I can say it’s impressive and the lore team is killing it.

Too bad whoever writes the actually story missions sucks

Reason why I adamantly believe Destiny would've made a MUCH better visual or novel series. As a game, and especially as a live service game, it is incapable of properly conveying the sense of wonder, danger, and mystery that the lore writers put into those little tid bits. I still want to see more things from the perspectives of the Fallen, Hive, and even the Vex. For example, the small mission on Nessus where a Hydra basically transmits that it and the Vex are afraid of the Light because it is the one thing it cannot simulate. That shows a sort of vulnerability that is heavily understated anywhere else with the Vex. And there's even more for everything else, but Bungie is just more into throwing hordes of ads and silly mechanics to act as filler rather than make the game's story seem more interesting in the actual game. It's just an overall shame.

*sips coffee* Cheers for those who have tremendous Lore Knowledge
Which may or may not

Include myself 😀
Ok I’ll say it.
Hello.

My name is Inigo Montoya.

You killed my father.

Prepare to die.
Okay I'll say it.
Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Seige Dancers from an imperial war tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we could punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.
Some of the lore really tugs on the heart strings.
https://www.ishtar-collective.net/entries/confession-of-hope-part-one
Yeah well to bad the campaigns always suck
-
The one thing nobody cares about they actually get right.
-
The lore of Destiny is on the level of insane batshit like Warcraft. And I freaking love it. It’s only a matter of time until we get a strike with Shaxx narrating us though

Editado por TotalDramaGamer: 9/20/2018 1:19:50 PMWow... it's almost like you don't have completely retcon and hollow out stuff to make an interesting story. *glares at CoO and WM Can we all take, just a single moment, to imagine how much better CoO and WM would be if THEY were given Forsaken's treatment? Seriously, maybe the Infinite Hallway would germinate into something actually interesting. Oh, and you know, the Cult of Osiris would actually have an impact in the story. What did we learn about them in CoO that we didn't already know? LITERALLY NOTHING. Awesome. Also, Eris gave us tons more information than Anna did about Rasputin, even comparing the WM DLC to Eris's BRIEF STORY DIALOUGE. What did Ana tell us? "Rasputin's listening." Hey... Ana... Eris already said that too. In fact, she elaborated on it as well. Unlike you. It's pretty pathetic. -- Yes, I'm still salty about it...
-
Not to sound salty, but I wish the lore/story for CoO and Warmind was as well cared for as Forsaken. I'm glad we moved forward but, man, did they ever get it wrong on those DLCs.
-
I’ve been angrily devouring as many lore tabs I can find, the one for the thin line handcannon made me feel things
-
have you heard about the edge transit tho?
-
lore smore... I've skipped every story and ignored every little carrot along the way... I like the pve shooting part of the game, that's all I came here for.
-
If you only realised how riddled the lore in Destiny 2 is with contradictions, mistakes & retcons. The female-led writing team is extremely incompetent, which is typical of political feminist garbage.
-
That's always been one of the great tragedies of Destiny. Fascinating lore but horrible presentation. It still boggles my mind that they didn't have the grimoire available in-game for so long.
-
That would be because they hired Waid to write the lore finally. They were using Stohl until people -blam!-ing lost it over her being completely useless. She's still head honcho there, but she's only doing basics now fortunately
-
But seriously nerf fusion rifles
-
No one cares that you broke your elbow
-
Yeah it is, i really like what they've done with Destiny 2 and forsaken so far (exept for the masterwork core infusion problem !)
-
I never paid attention to it in D1 but I read D2’s lore now that it’s in the game too. Stories within stories within... it’s turtles all the way down. . Isn’t everything the same but told in all sorts of ways?
-
Thought you were gonna say Edge Transit
-
Have you heard of our Lord and savior the flying edge transit monster?
-
Yea the book of sorrows from taken king was great, nice to have an origin story to the antagnoist/raid boss/Hive
-
I’m just glad it’s IN game and I don’t have to go look it up somewhere online. I read more of it now that way due to ease of use.

Editado por JazzBagPipes: 9/19/2018 6:45:18 PMYep, really like it, lots of good details to what was going on at the Reef all this time, for starters.
