This was on iPad, using Safari. I found the cause. I was using the iPad in landscape mode. When I switched to portrait mode I could see the Clear button at the bottom. My apologies to Bungie employees for all the hours you must have spent trying to resolve this problem. NOT!!!

Interesting. Do you not use the Bungie app? That may alleviate any discomfort in the future. :)
