Remove Hunter Dodge For The Betterment of Mankind

Hunters in Destiny 2 they need a change and i'm not gonna say that the 6 shot golden gun should be removed and replaced with combustion on a sunshot level that chains even though that be awesome. I'm here to talk about dodging, so most of us probably remember when dodging was first introduced with the nightstalker subclass in Destiny 1 the taken king expansion and i was extremely excited since it seemingly portrayed a new PvE oriented subclass for hunter. But like many others during that time i was rightfully frustrated with crucible only a few weeks later when the coolest kids on the block were shade stepping with shotguns, at least back then grenades were still powerful and a sticky grenade or well positioned area denial could usually stop the newly found acrobatic talent of these hunters. I was glad to see that in Destiny 2 they put some restrictions on it when it made its return now under the new title of "Dodge', making it an ability with a longer cooldown than its original iteration this came with some problems that i still feel need to be addressed and hopefully the upcomming dlc "Forsaken" with the TTK changes it brings rectify some of the problems. The biggest being that currently hunters are in my opinion and that of many of my freinds the go too pvp class of destiny 2, now dont get me wrong with proper planning, coordination, and awareness a good warlock rift or titan bannerwall can be more critical to a match which im all for. And i personally aside from the 6 shot golden gun that i believe is just golden gun easy mode especially when in Destiny 1 an exotic which gave goldem gun 1 extra shot was alteady something to use an exotic slot on. But back to dodge, its not insane in theory but dodge itself and the benefits given to the player by the effects of the extra melee energy or the instantaneous reload alongside a reposition to throw off enemy fire can be crucial in what is currently this longer TTK game than D1 (graviton lance and vigilance wing not included) also compared to the team oriented abilities of the warlock rift and the titan wall hunters dodge in PvE is extremely selfish. Thus the Crux of the problem, i believe that dodge should be replaced as the current hunter ability, not to make hunters less viable in crucible or to weaken them in any way. I personally would much rather have those moments in a match of Control were i look to my right and see a hunter and in my mind im thinking if this kid has his ability we can change this entire encounter in our favour, like what currently happens when a titan plants that wall. I'm posting this as a discussion area to hopefully get some ideas from the community as to what could replace the ability for hunters, one such idea i had was a throwable which detonates marking nearby enemies for teamates, in PvE this could have pissible damage increase implications to enemies marked, while in PvP we all know how crucial accurate enemy position intellegience can be in any encounter. The second choice for the hunter ability could be something a kin to a titan flash bang, or maybe even the ability to give themselves and teamates ammunition. I think these abilities still would emphasize an agressive playstyle while supporting teamplay. EDIT: it's appearent that some people think i dislike dodge because of crucible and i will state that in he current meta it's an infurating thing but for the most part in fights its only really useful to either run away which (whih can be infuratong with the current TTK meta, close distance with a close range weapon (which is perfectly fine i like that aspect of it), or finally the extremely close range dodge during a close range melee fight to win (which again is fine by me since they do have a cooldown) even when it becomes double dodge when "the sixth coyote" releases in forsaken. But the reality is its a selfish ability used only for the benefit of the user not the team and i personally believe "Abilities" should be team oriented as a whole. If in forsaken with the TTK changes the whole running away aspect of dodge is reduced i'd be fine with it not being an ability and be just integrated into the xlasses as something else like some sort of passive (maybe removing the auto reload/melee regeneration portion of the dodge) in order to replace the ability with a more team oriented substitute. EDIT: yes we all know about "The sixth coyote" the new double dodge hunter exotic. EDIT: xXxNoblexXx6 actually put forth the idea of the dodge itself giving benefits to nearby allies which i think is a quite plausable and intriguing idea.
