There are several Warminds, not the Warmind. The period of time when the Traveler was awake prior to the events of Destiny is known as the Golden Age. In the Golden Age we colonized pretty much every celestial body the Traveler terraformed for us. And we also kind of knew that spreading out into the galaxy could potentially be dangerous, so humanity built a series of very complex AIs called Warminds to aid them in protecting themselves if humanity was ever in danger. Then, when the Darkness came and humanity suffered in the Collapse, all of the Warminds were destroyed along with most of humanity's extraplanetary colonies. We only know of 3 Warminds: Charlemagne, the AI of Mars. He is presumably dead but we don’t know for sure. It’s possible he might come back since the next DLC is probably going to be on Mars' polar ice caps and has the Warmind symbol and bunker door in it. Whoever "JYS" was, we don’t know much about them other than they were the Warmind of Io. Possibly related to Charlemagne since those letters resemble "Joyeuse", which was the name of Charlemagne's sword. Then, we arrive at Rasputin. He was the only Warmind known to survive because he defied his programming and decided to hide himself from the Darkness, and to this day Rasputin remains a sort of chaotic potential ally or enemy we don’t know the agenda of. Rasputin is entirely unique because he attempted to understand the Darkness (and failed) and even made plans to nuke the shit out of the Traveler if it ever tried to leave humanity. In D1, we activated an interplanetary array so that Rasputin has access to every planet we colonized. He was later attacked by the Hive, the Taken, and later even the Fallen. We don’t really know what he’s up to right now. As far as we know, all of the other Warminds are 100% dead. That’s the rundown. Hope that helps!
