They keep changing the narrative. First they’re mad because all the “good stuff” ( I will forever say Bungie has brainwashed them into thinking trash is good loot by paywalling it) is in Tess’s shop. Then they claim that by doing that, the game is P2W because somehow the garbage Tess is selling will help them achieve the full endgame experience.
They’re mad because Bungie is forcing them to pay for collectibles, and some players really enjoy collecting every last dumb thing in this game. That’s literally it.
The thing that Bungie has actually done wrong is remove good mechanics from D1 and reskin guns and bad guys from the old game, then charge $60 for it. THAT’S what’s kinda messed up. But let’s continue the hashtag war on Crapverse some more. (Mind, I still love the game, it’s just really lazy on Bungie part to include only 20-30% new content)

Luke Smith says it's a "collection" game and everyone laughed. DeeJ said 2 tokens and a blue were rewarding and everybody laughed. XP was "throttled" and players complained about earning Bright Engrams. 30 days later... I CANT COLLECT EVERYTHING! 1 TOKEN AND 2 BLUES IS P2W! REMOVE EV! (which removes rewards for leveling XP) -- lol.

Man I'm missing 4 exotic weapons and that's it. Now that I know I'm missing 4 I'm on a mission to buy all 4. Of coarse that means I will have to spend $1000 just to get the chance at 1! Dang butt hurt babies make me laugh!

I agree with the reskinning of guns and mobs, but I just don't know why people care about collection. I have to laugh at anyone currently claiming it's about collection considering the fact it is IMPOSSIBLE currently to collect everything because of a limited vault and character space.

Collection is all this game is really about at the heart of it, which is how I know that’s what the fracas is about. They can’t get to the shiny detritus behind the paywall and that stuff has no value to a player who wants actual better gear, it’s almost entirely cosmetic. But daddy’s gotta have it! It’s like getting an emblem—a useless badge of hoarders honor. But! SUCH a good point. You need vault space to put your loot! Do these kids think of that when they have murder fantasies about a fictional character? That would require actually prioritizing their complaints in a sensible way. #vaultspace perhaps?
