You could always use the creation of new characters method. It's tedious but if it's higher light you seek it works. Start by creating the same class 3 times. Get to 265 on the first character, then start the next, do only the campaign up until the Utopia mission, then grind public events until you hit level 20. Switch all your highest light guns and armor over, finish the campaign and then do call to arms, flashpoint, and nightfall. After all that you will be higher light than your original character. Then start the 3rd and repeat and the 3rd will be higher than both. Then delete first character, and start over. Do that a few times until you max light, and then delete the 2 lowest light then start the other classes.
