a message to all the noobs using the scorch cannons
if your going to be using the scorch cannons in the public events you should know how to use them efficently hold down the trigger after shooting to charge it up it'll cause more damage to the walker then but shooting the cannon regularly

Exactly! I'd rather take 5 seconds or so to charge up a shot that will be at the least, 2x more powerful than shooting a single normal shot. It's basically like the Black Spindle vs Sleeper Simulant. Black Spindle is great for short term DPS, but Sleeper Simulant is far superior in long term DPS due to the huge damage. Slower rate of fire, but easily 2x the damage per shot if not more.

As others have said the charges take to long. There are also plenty to go around and they respawn fairly quick so just go ham imo.

Who gives two flying bucks as long as the tanks die. Its not like you aint got pests shootibg you constantly from all possible angles. Besided I find it to be more fun lol

You can deal more short term damage by spamming it, I do that when thy are "down". Then Ill hold it when I shoot the legs. Works like a charm and it's kinda easy to solo that way.

I actually noticed better results by spamming the cannons on the walkers. Sure, charging them deals more damage per round, but by spamming them you deal more dps. The only reason I spam here (and not on any other activity) is because the scorch cannons respawn after x amount of time, so each time I waste one I already have 5 more waiting to be picked up. I know it works because I have completed the Heroic version alone, even with my lv 9 Warlock.

3 RespuestasCharging takes too long. It does enough damage to satisfy me just shooting regularly. Especially with the walker tanks, id rather put in quick damage when it's down over two or three shots being charged

1 RespuestaThe bigger problem is, "HEY GUYS, don't kill the first walker until we get heroic to start!" So many times I'm frantically trying to open the scorch shields, and just before I can finish, the walker dies.

Real guardians don't need to use the scorch cannons to kill the walkers, use your own weapons.

4 RespuestasSpamming shots does 1300 dmg for me and charging them does 1564 dmg. There's no reason to conserve ammo as cannons respawn. Spamming shots is much higher dps.

And yet charging the cannon while soloing a public event is an efficient way to fail it. There just isn't enough time to wait and the results are not good enough. Without charging you can destroy both walkers with time to spare. Adapting to changing battles is key.

the walkers drop so quick anyways. and there is always another cannon. not sure why it matters.

Bro do you want a cookie or something? Who posts silly stuff like this to seem cool, like they know it all? Pretty much anyone who played Destiny 1 knows about the scorch cannons. You've got absolutely way too much free time on your hands.

Love it when ppl post these things for the most easy parts of the game. Like its a devistaton and instant failure if not done correctly. Remember all posts about heroic strikes in D1? "Omg ppl use Arc weapons, its Arc burn this week!! bla bla". You could melee your way though those strikes.

1 RespuestaIf you're talking about the Devil Walker event, I find that it's actually better to just spam the cannons as they infinitely re-spawn during the event.
