Demographic of 60Fps debate
I'm trying to form a Demographic hypothesis about this 60Fps debate.
The reason I'm basing it on age is more about a persons shooter history. What you're played over the years and/or what you've gotten used to.
Yes there is a little bit about maturity (thought process and understanding game development, not necessarily behavioral) but that's a minor point I think and not completely valid.
This is not meant as a slight to anyone and I'm not asking to even post a reply if you don't want to.
I myself am in my upper 40's and 60Fps doesn't mean anything to me if the game would suffer performance because of it.
I've been playing shooters for over 17 years and I've taken place in many Beta tests and a few Alphas.
That is all just to say that I have some insight on development and prioritizing of dev strategy.
Just trying to understand the mentality.
EDIT: Well. If not a reply about what your demo is then maybe a bump to keep it on top ;-)

14, I don't care as long as it's stable and 30+. Being a PC gamer, I would much prefer 60 FPS since my computer can handle it, but there are exceptions.

Editado por michael: 6/26/2017 1:32:51 AM14 and can very easily tell the difference between 30 and 60 fps. going from 60 to 30 feels like slow motion. a few months ago when i got my xbox, i went on a bit of a destiny hiatus and spent all my gaming time on halo 5. this lasted about 2 months. around march i started playing destiny regularly again and the adjustment was horrendous. first couple games actually hurt my eyes.

I'd much rather have 60fps unless it's a game trying to tell a narrative (story based). I can definitely tell the difference in frames.

While 60fps is nice I find 21fps good enough, 30fps is more than bearable.

I'm 40. And all I can say is this: It's very easy to say how worthless 60fps is until you play all your games at that or better and then go back to one that is 30fps or whatever it may be. I play Overwatch at 140fps and trying to play Destiny at 30fps after that genuinely hurts my old man eyes.

If it's not stable at 30, either optimize it better, or tone down the graphics. 60fps is great, but the most important thing is stability. On a side note, I have no clue how my gf, who is 20, can handle her games running at a solid 15 fps.

Wow Again. Day 4, 667 votes and still a lock at 60/40 with the "Don't wan't/care" in front. The under 25 crowd has taken over both sides now which is amazing. I thank you all for participating. Can we squeeze 1 more day of relevancy for this thread? Haha

4 RespuestasI'm 17 and don't really care. While it IS nice to have 60 fps so that it feels smooth it really isn't that big of a deal to me. As long as it is 15-20+ I'm fine honestly. I don't get why people get so mad about it.

60 fps is a must for me, so I just went with PC. I actually play some of the more tense shooters in 144 fps if I can.

Doesn't matter how many frames you have, a red bar is still a red bar.

30fps is ok on console I guess, but on PC I need at least 60.
