It's funny because one time I asked a priest his opinion on the scientific explanation of the universe. He said "It may have started with a Big Bang but gods the one playing the drums". BEST ANSWER EVER

Sounds like he gets it. As a christian myself, I never did understand why people think science and religion are incompatible. I never have bought into the 6 thousand year old earth thing.

I for one, don't believe that the earth is billions of years old, but I definitely think it's longer than 7 thousand.

I also believe that while the bible says the earth was created in 7 days, that statement was made according to god's sense of time not ours.
