Counter Balance description is misleading - it doesn't adjust actual stability. It changes the DIRECTION of the recoil pattern to be more vertical. Some guns have recoil patterns all over the place (drift left / drift right / side-to-side / etc.). Counter Balance makes it go mostly straight up which most people find easier to control: aim for the neck and it will kick up into the head. RageFinder though... yeh. It would be nice to somehow show what the actual increase is via the UI. There are websites that list the % values for each perk so you can find out if you're curious.
