Hardcore haters are actually liking/loving the UE. I bought it and watched it. The editing is so much better its like a different movie. Lex even though i still hate that interpretation of him is more menacing. Superman has more supermanish moments and clark actually does reporting. The Extended cut feels shorter even though its longer because the story flows a lot better.
I think i gave it a 7.5 before. But now it's definitely a 8.5 or 9 imo. I dont know why wb released the TC when this was clearly better.

Just finished watching the Ultimate Edition. It's definitely better than the Theatrical cut, but it's still pretty meh in my opinion. I was really hoping we'd see a little more Batman doing things in Gotham. The pacing is a hell of a lot better. The entire third act still killed it for me. Going straight from Batman and Superman's fight into the fight with Doomsday is still too rushed. I originally gave the film a 6/10. The Ultimate Edition only raises it to a 7 maybe a 7.5, that's being generous. DC and Warner Bros. have still got a long way to go. Here is hoping that Suicide Squad, next year's Wonder Woman, and Justice League can get the DacEU back on track.
