Did it maintain your build?
Did you get the right reload perk on the gloves, the right ammo and armor perks on the chest, and the right ammo and speed perks on the boots?
Build > ascetics.

This, I'm loving the build on my Titan. I got desolate gauntlets with the perks I like, but discipline and strength instead of intellect and one of those two. Hopefully I can still make it work once I have the whole set. Build definitely takes priority for my guardians.
