I joined xAx back in 2014, so I saw it grow from the beginning, met some great people back then, but always wondered why so many admins left after a time, after a while I decided to help out and became an admin, and found out what the clan is about from the inside. Admins would do all the work, like a 9-5 job, the founder did nothing, would not even be a very active player, just ran the thing like a business... objective was more members, more member, more members, at all costs. Admins had quotas to meet for everything (recruiting was especially important) and if you didn't meet them you would be threatened to be booted as an admin... loyalty is everythging right? And then there is the issue of the money... webiste servers costs are very cheap, 30$/month, there is some competitions (like recruitment competitions of course), but with very cheap prices, which often would not be given to the winners... mañana was the mantra... and inspite of having more than enough for many months in the bank, donations were still very much "appreciated" and rewarded with special awards given to those members that donated, and there is merchandise too BTW. So the bank was growing and growing... for what if its not being used for anything and there is nothing to spend it on? now over the months it has climbed to 5000$ and why is there is a goal of 9000$ to meet now? I'm not OK with that. I tried to look away from it all that and just do it for the people in the clan, and didn't care about the founder, he was never there in the day to day anyways. Did my best to help people, was very active in the website too, I even did all the graphics for xAx, even T-shirt designs, the banners and its logo (which you can see he uses in the unite the clans article), for free of course, I just wanted to help the clan... little did I know it wasn't for the clan, it was all for the benefit of one person who operated like a dictator. He kept abusing the admins for his own interest, not listening to their ideas or concerns or problems, would take desitions that were completely unloyal to those that were building the clan and made it what it was with their work, and never really cared about the game. By the time I became Head admin for Europe I had enough... the founder was only interested in the spotlight, getting attention from bungie for god knows what (a job?), using people for it, his lack of leadership and people skills, he could not care the least about Destiny, and I could not ignore the issue with the donations and money accumulation in the bank without a cap or a clear intended goal for it. I finally had my answer why I would see the admins would leave after a while and was such a high turn over, all burnt out and dissapppointed. Finally came to the conclusion that the important thing were those people that kept leaving, not the clan, so took the decision to leave the clan, after all the work put into the clan, but could not be a part of that. And around the same time so did many admins, head admins and even an ambassador for the same reasons. It wasn't a coincidence that so many people left. The founder banned anyone that said anything about it, and deleted any posts on the website, even if it was to say goodbye to their friends, banned and deleted just like that... again loyalty is everything right? Through spamming the forums tactics and desperate volume recruiting he would eventually susbtitute that void with new people, and continue to grow, but it is all like a pyramid scam, for everyone that leaves, he gets 3 unknowing newbies to join. And those newbies are mostly unaware, all they see is a very active clan on the outside, at least initially. So its not about xAx members, no animosity towards you guys, I was one of you a while back, it is all about the founder and the few acolytes that enforce his "vision" inspite of knowing what its all about, those few do stick around for their own interests I guess and can live with it. Now I could not be happier, I actually enjoy playing again, I'm on a smaller close nit clan, many of the members are the best members xAx had when I was there, which left xAx as well. We play for fun, for then game, we decide things democratically, what the clan wants the clan gets, there are no first and second class members, and we all help each other out, have our friendly banter, and have our own website to organise ourselves. And also play other games like the upcoming The Division. That is what it's all about. And so we have moved on. The reason you see many ex-xAx here its because he came in our website yesterday pretending to be a new member just to mention that xAx got posted on the unite the clans thing. We didn't even know about it, we didn't care about xAx anymore. Who hasn't moved on? pathetic. So thats my story folks, was never going to bother sharing it since I moved on and was in a much better place now, its all behind me, but what happened yesterday coming to our website really set me off and seeing this threadd and posts I thought it may shed some light on why unlike with other clans, when xAx clan is mentioned, there is such controversy that follows, and not many good words from people that moved on, why there is so many of them.

      • Just don't donate any money to them, all you're doing is lining one certain individuals pockets.

        • Are you able to explain where the donation money goes. It's a free site with members doing Web design for no charge. A donation goal of $9000, a clan should not be asking people for money, a clan should be fun and non profit making.
