  • I bet you won't. You're the same troll that claimed to have filed a complaint with the BBB that wasn't true.

  • Let me save you the time and money. Go read the EULA that you agreed to, there is no legal action you can take against them that can involve the game. They could make your guardian a bunny rabbit that hops around and eats carrots while observing the fallen destroy all of earth if they wanted. Your best bet for any real response is to send in a report to the BBB and put Destiny down for a while. Clearly its better to be (at least) a year behind the company and buy everything bundled and cheaper. Let the blind fanboy children and teens fund Activision.

I'd back you on this. I was one of the ones who didnt play the beta and was only subject to vidocs, which is what I based my purchase on. This game was my first preorder in like a few years and the only Bungie titled I've ever played (ha! that was a hefty $500+ wasted!) I was really invested in the story that I thought we were going to get from the get go only to find out come release that all of that was behind paywalls and barriers. I personally feel extremely cheated and robbed.

  • That guy that posted the EULA is around here somewhere. It's a very clever and wide open loophole explicit in our online agreement to play destiny. Gives them the ability to rearrange any and all content with whatever levels, locks, modifiers, etc that they wish. Any content is legally able to be removed, adjusted, or added without any recourse. We paid for a rental license. All bungie are doing are making changes to the 'their' game that we are licensed to play on.

  • I enjoy how people blindly agree to those terms then bitch about how they are going to do something, I like that they were strong enough people to act on it but still people need to actually read those agreements for things

  • That's a pretty standard EULA... Read any large software corporation EULA for any of the software they create and it will basically say the same thing. MS Windows, OS X, Office, any other game from a major publisher, etc... They very clearly state that you do not own the software and that you are purchasing a license to use it. They will always say they maintain the right to modify it at will. Now, false advertisement on the product is illegal. If before the game was released, they claimed features that were not in the actual release, well that's the problem. Especially if purchasing decisions were made based on those advertisements.

  • The BBB knows the score and has been helping people already regarding this game. Refunds, etc., I see a class action lawsuit happening in the future that will hopefully stop this kind of action by these companies.

  • No, it will just make games more expensive or just disappear altogether. People sue for the stupidest things. Remember NCAA football? Yea, that was a fun game until some asshole players decided to sue EA. did EA do the right thing and figure out a way to fix it? Nope, they just said "F U then, we won't make the game if we have to deal with shit like this." Now no one gets to play college football (on a console of course). I guess we'll get to see what bulletproof EULAs will look like where you'll have to virtua-semen sample sign that you've read the 600 pages of rock solid legal speak agreement and agree to the terms which if broken the punishment is a public execution. Gotta make sure you can't get sued!

  • Companies that cheat people deserve to not be around anymore, will games disappear? no, other company will want to serve the market and if that one is also shady it will fade away too. if people stop accepting their crap companies would have to change their abusive attitudes. They want our money, its bad for us to accept every new con like they are doing us a favor its what got us to this point.

  • An EULA is not a bullet proof shield that a company can use to do whatever it wants. If folks are going to bandy it around like it gives Bungie and Activision carte blanche to do as they like, they also need to learn another phrase that has president in both the business and legal realms: The doctrine of reasonable expectation To (over) simplify, it means that in agreements (like an EULA), no matter how biased the legalese used in them is towards a company's own self-interest, the end user (or little guy, so to speak) has the reasonable and legal right to expect that the agreement does not permit said company to bend them over a table and start reaming. Concepts like false advertising, bait and switch sales tactics ... and extortion are not given 'get out of jail free' cards by EULAs.

that's a bad example. football players are treated like invincible gods. you have to REALLY mess up as a football player to get in trouble.

  • So tom Brady really messed up? Why did judge overturn then? All though everything the nfl did was legal......the judge thought policies were unfair, unethical, immoral. We players signed agreement just like a nfl player does a cba with their union when we started playing destiny. Bungie has removed availability of NF and possibly other content for those not paying for ttk......I agree is kind of stretch comparison......but don't you think a judge may see these things as unfair, unethical, immoral business practices? Kind of similar to me........but is just fukin around joking anyways........I would never really be like some idiots on here "we should start lawsuit and sue bungie"

  • I think the only argument worth pursuing is the fact that its while the EULA states they can add, remove and modify content without notice. they are not really removing the content, they are moving it behind a new pay wall so it becomes a "pay up or watch others play what you used to have" kind of deal with the intent to coerce rather than to just remove the content completely for all players because its obsolete.

  • My post was completely joking and just making a comparison. I don't really care about pay walls, locked content or anything else. I will pay my $60 and play the game I've put 1500 + hours on already 😉 $50-$100 is nothing to me,I spend more money on dumber stuff. If taken king gives me 100 hours of play......I'm good Other games you pay $60 for and completely done in two weeks I got 1500 hours plus for my first $100 Either a lot of broke people use this app? Or people know of other games they can play longer for $100? Or just alot of whiny ass people that expect way too much for nothing? Or some maybe waiting for testicles to drop? Anyways have fun and enjoy taken king 😲😲😲😲😲
