Alright I have been thinking about this for a while. And well what if there was another type of weapon or armor added in the dlc after TTK? I would call it ancient. It would have a red backround rather than purple or yellow. And you could only have one of them on your character (you could carry more obviously). This weaponry would make exotic look weak, and you WOULDN'T be able to use it in crucible. These weapon would be made by the "gods" themselves. Here's the catch to the Weapons if your using one you can't use an exotic (on the side it's used weapon/armor sides) if you used the armor peice it would be the same way with the no exotic rule. But these pieces would be beautiful with very detailed designed with a red and gold glow put off by the gear to give a frightening in game look. This gear would come with perks, for example flying for 10 secs or don't take damage while reviving. Something like that. Here's another catch most of you won't like. There is only one ancient peice of gear/Weapon for each slot. For instance your primary slot, there's only one primary ancient weapon in the game. Also you must be level 40 to even find these pieces. These godly pieces of loot can only be found by completing the dreadnought on hard. Even then if would only have a 2% chance of dropping. Bungie Please look at this and consider it!!
