The bow could use a serious PvE buff.
This weapon is super fun to use but the low damage means that a sniper or shotgun will always outclass it in any serious PvE situation.
I wouldn't mind if it did more damage than a high impact sniper like blackhammer, double even. The charge rate mitigates the bows damage output by slowing down fire rate and makes it a little harder to aim.
There is no issue with having a super powered PvE exotic and we all know that no matter what you do it will not replace gjallahorn.
In PvP I'd love it to be a monster but would settle for one shot body kills at close range allowing it to compete with regular fusion rifles.
TL/DR
Buff bow damage in PvE to at least allow 2 head shot yellow kills. This gun should be OP feeling in PvE
Maybe buff PvP to allow one body shot kill at close range (probably felwinters shot gun range)

Don't worry it's getting nerfed to the ground come September.
-
Yeah it needs a buff
-
it should fire gally missles that explode into titan and warlock bombs that home in on your enemies too right?
-
It's plenty powerful in PvP, headshots are super-easy with that thing In PvE it's not as powerful as a "real" sniper, I give you that, but on the other hand you carry A LOT more ammo....
-
the Queens bow needs a pve damage buff i agree.
-
I absolutely love this post lol Hey bungie while you're at it make gjallahorn two shot any boss, it's Wolfpack rounds one shot a me major, and it's blast radius triple what it is now. In pvp, you should go ahead and make the midas a one shot headshot from shotgun range and the icebreaker and one shot body shot from auto rifle range. Lmao Talking about buffing or nerfing weapons is good, but fack, be realistic haha. Too many posts are sooo rediculous. It's either "I like this gun so it should be the best ever in pvp and I should never die with it in pvp" or "I'm not a fan/don't have it so it should be nerfed to nonexistent so I can show off the gun I have in pve or don't get killed by it." It could use a small buff but give it some thought before you fill the forums with useless dreams.

Nooooo it's good enough I get killed across the map with it. Ur just bad with it and use a different gun
-
OMFG what do you expect is a Damn fusion rifle it's not a sniper it's not a shotgun it's meant for mid range it might hot like a sniper yet it still has a charge. What did you expect an insta kill?
-
And dregs promise
-
It needs a better exotic perk.
-
The problem with this gun is travel time/ lag
-
Just got the bounty, but variks never summon me.... it's already been three days. How long did it takes you people before variks summon you.
-
I would like to see a damage buff in PvE and one for both like "After a precision kill the next shot will charge 50% faster."
-
I'd definitely agree with a small PvE buff, just because of how much ammo it holds pretty much equates to the damage output of a traditional sniper, but a like a sloth. In PvP, it's perfect where it is. A one shot to the body a close range would make it like a shotgun, you could hipfire it in the general direction of a player and get a kill. It's current state is a precision weapon, and requires you to have skill and timing. I personally am a Queenbreaker's pro, and understand where you're coming from, but ultimately disagree.
-
In pve it needs a damage buff for sure. Why ever use queenbreakers bow if you have patience and time. P&t does more dps and theres no charge rate. (Im comparing these two because theyre both arc damage exotics and function as snipers) In pvp there is no reason to ever use the high impact scope both are 1shot to the head or 2 to the body. So in Pvp it needs a body modifier. To make the high impact scope a 1 shot body at close range.
-
It needs no buff in pvp. However I 100% agree with you in pve.
-
Editado por Renaiisance: 7/26/2015 4:06:44 PMLets be honest, none of the elder cipher weapons really stand out. They are meant to be fun, not be OP. I think Queenbreakers Bow is exactly what it should be

Bump in the "specialist/arc burn" nightfall a while back I saw all the "run queen breakers it wrecks" posts so I did then I did another run with Pat and PaT blew it away!!
-
pve yes pvp no

The main reason I'm gonna get the queenbreakers bow is for taking off captain's shields. That's all I really want it for, and the flipping awesomely fun pvp usage.
-
yes a damage buff really feels necessary. With only 6 round yes it needs more damage.
