What exactly are you seeing?
Do you receive a message with an error code of some kind? What is it?
Are you on a black screen with an icon in the lower right, that won't go away?
I'd take what that Microsoft person said, with a grain of salt. There is not a reset of accounts required.

I'm very sorry to hear that you're having issues connecting to Destiny. I would recommend trying all of the steps in our Network Troubleshooting Guide to see if those resolve your issue. Also, other players have reported that using a different internet connection - e.g. at a friend's house - to connect their console to Destiny, then returning to their normal internet connection, has resolved this issue for them.

I have been over every word of the network trouble shooting guide. I have the most optimal settings. i have currently turned off my ipv 4 & 6 firewalls. I meet every requirement. Nothing previously with MY network has been changed to cause this issue. That is an insane solution to this problem! Unfortunately not an option for me. What else could be causing this issue if nothing on my end has changed AND yet i now get this error.
