TABLET and PHONE USERS: I Am Not Trolling You. HONESTLY!!!

Some of you (cell phone users too) have gotten the wrong impression from me. Honestly, I am not trying to be a troll to all of you. It's just that, every time there is a new way to access Destiny from a tablet/ cell phone/ whatever, it seems like we are one step closer to the day when I will be FORCED to buy a peripheral device just to play my favorite CONSOLE game. And I just don't think that's right. The ability to manipulate a character's equipment from a computer is bad enough, from my point of view; and I know some of you want the ability to do it while in a combat area. That's fine in principle, I suppose, if you're raiding against Crota; but consider the Crucible. If one player has the ability to switch weapons in the midst of combat by simply pressing a touchscreen on a tablet, barely looking away from the screen, that's a HUGE advantage over a player who has to go into the game menu to do the same thing. Yet it's an advantage that comes from outside the game. And people complain about buying things from Xur? I am going to anticipate some replies here: 1) I should just buy a tablet myself. I already spent good money on a PS4, which does everything the game is meant to do. Why do the designers feel obligated to add functions for tablets and phones? 2) I am a grouchy old man. I don't deny it; but I think I have good reasons. 3) Get over it. Well; no. I think someone has to make these points, and I seem to be the only one willing to swim upstream on this topic. I also think that for every 'me' that is willing to speak out and take the abuse that is then hurled my way, there are hundreds like me who just don't want to be unjustly accused of being a troll and hence keep silent. I am not a troll, and I am not making these posts frivolously. I am trying to make sure that DeeJ and Bungie know that there are members of the community like me, who don't own these wonderful little devices, don't intend to own one, and don't want the game to cater to those who DO own them if it's at our expense. Be clear- if you like your phone app, fine. Keep it, use it. Just DON'T expect me to buy a new additional technology just to play this game. And if Bungie adds something that gives you a game advantage over me, because you spent REAL money in real life, you had better expect me to post another complaint thread. A big loud one. But until then, we can all be friends.

I'm going to try to put this as simply as I possibly can, without being rude or condescending.
If one player has the ability to switch weapons in the midst of combat by simply pressing a touchscreen on a tablet, - That's not how it works. If you have a weapon on your Guardian, as in, it's in their inventory, you still have to select it the same way. A tablet/phone/PC cannot do that for you. barely looking away from the screen, - If you want to equip an item that's not currently in your Guardians immediate inventory, you need to do one of two things: 1) Open the app. Go to the character you're using at that time, check if the item you're after is in the vault. If its there, transfer the item to your character, and then equip it from your inventory like you usually have to. 2) Open the app. Go to the character that has the item. Select the item and transfer it to the vault. Change characters. Go to that character. Go to the vault. Take the item from the vault to add to that characters inventory. Then equip it from your inventory like you usually have to. that's a HUGE advantage over a player who has to go into the game menu to do the same thing. - No, it's actually not. You have to put your controller down, or multitask with one hand holding your device (here comes the innuendo) and one on your controller, and then still go into your menu to equip it. How could that possibly be an advantage?
I'm sorry, but I don't believe you have any understanding of how it works, otherwise you'd know that it doesn't work like you purport it to. The app is just there to assist you if you have forgotten an item in your vault, and you don't want to: Stop what you're doing. Go to orbit. Go to tower. Go to vault. Go to orbit. Go back to activity. It's not a "magic button" that switches the item currently equipped. Clear? Edit: Oh... And this:
And if Bungie adds something that gives you a game advantage over me, because you spent REAL money in real life,
Most people already have a device capable of utilising this ADDED ON FEATURE, we certainly didn't go out suddenly and "spend REAL money" on it (As opposed to "FAKE" money?). That's like saying the cart came before the horse...
