So on a topic similar to the member titles issue...

Posts on this particular account have been covered in red text for approximately four years now. It seems that bans have been reset in their entirety. With this being said, they mentioned bringing member titles back eventually when the beta is over. Will the same be true of bans?

  • All bans being removed was a deliberate decision. With this update comes an entirely new set of rules. Most of the profanity filter is gone too. Lots of users were banned permanently for things that simply aren't against the rules anymore. With the Hide/Mute buttons feeding both your Personal Ignore List as well as the reporting queue, and with the moderators having a very restricted list of things they are responsible for, we felt it best to give everybody a fresh start. So far, it seems to be working well.

  • I hope not, then I'll be banned for being a low lvl priority alt when this is actually my main -.-

    •
Will the same be true of bans?
I would imagine that data is being gathered and evaluated. If the majority of banned accounts noticed that they were reprieved and immediately got themselves rebanned... that says something about those members and the logic behind their original bans. If a percentage (or even an individual) notices that the prison door is open and no one seems to be guarding it anymore, walks out, feels the sun on their face, takes in a breath of fresh and free air and then does what they can to make today (and every day thereafter) a "good day"..... well? That (at least to me) is someone that I wouldn't mind bumping into on the forums.
