The higher level you are the better rewards you will get. To get to a higher level you HAVE TO do VOG. Period. Destinylfg.net. The destiny community is way nicer than the forums will lead you to believe. Also doing the daily every day will help, but it will take a while, and you aren't really high enough to do that at 30 difficulty anyway. If you buy tower gear (the easy way out) you will still need shards and energy from VOG to rank up. I feel like 80% of people think the raids are the best part of the game and I'm one of them.
