Really depends on their reason. Obviously since I know and care about the person in this situation, I'd be more willing to listen to them. There is definitely a bias here as I would be way less likely to listen to reason from a stranger. Perhaps the person murdered was an abusive partner or a rapist? If their reason was not good, I'd probably report them to the police. The reason I believe I would is because if their reason was something bad, I'd never be able to look at them the same way again and thus the friendship is over.

I think it's different cause now it's in a grey area. You love this person, friend or otherwise and they love you and you couldn't picture you're life without them. The murder wasn't justified, just a simple act of violence. I guess the honest answer for me would be I don't know. I want to say yes but how do you know how you would react in that situation?

The answer is I don't. I believe that I would report them if it was just a case of sadistic violence. However, there's no way of really knowing whether I would or would not without having the situation actually happen. What I do know for sure is that no matter who the person was, I would never be able to look at them the same way again.

True but it does make a person think. I hope to never be in that situation nor do I wish it on anyone. I couldn't imagine the internal struggle someone would face. Kinda like morals vs. love which one wins?

That's always a tough question. Some people are strong and are bound to their morals no matter what. Some will do anything to protect the ones they love. For a lot of people, both of those stand true to an extent.
